This dissertation takes on the perspective of naming and other issues related to the Mo he Luo culture,and then focuses on a major cultural category of pottery figurines.Thr ough the exploration and discussion of specific themes concerning pottery figurines s uch as Guizi Mu,Huasheng,Baizi,Erlang Shen and Han Shan Shide,the dissertation presents a multidimensional "Qingming Riverside Scene" of Song and Yuan Dynasty culture.It engages debate with the craftsmanship and restores the process of making p ottery figurines.The author traces the origins of the pottery figurines in terms of their names,culture,a nd images,and argues that this culture is a product of multiple influences,including S outh Asian Buddhist culture,Central Asian Zoroastrian culture,and local Nüwa cultur e.Revolving around the Guizi Mu culture and Song Dynasty culture of raising childre n,the dissertation highlights the importance of childbirth in Song Dynasty culture,an d the resulting series of folk creations.Against the background of commercialization,popularization,and mass culture in Song Dynasty culture,the dissertation considers th e mutual interaction and mutual promotion of child-rearing culture,seasonal culture,a nd pottery figurines.Meanwhile,the social configuration of pottery figurines,represe nted by the figurines,also plays a role in nurturing,educating,and promoting the over all cultural and aesthetic level of society.The worship of gods and spirits in secular lif e has its own historical position and unique forms of expression.The portrayal of the Erlang Shen in the current popular culture such as movies and television has different representations in the Song Dynasty,and was also linked to a wealth of folk customs.And yet,currently seen as representative of the harmonious culture,the Han Shan Shi de also had the function of being blessed by the Well God in folk society during the S ong Dynasty.These pottery figurines open a door to the history of material civilizatio n and spiritual civilization for us.When facing historical relics,there is often a regret of "seeing objects without seeing people".In many studies,the focus is often on the o bject itself,ignoring the people who created it.By examining the craftsmen of Song a nd Yuan Dynasty pottery figurines,this dissertation explores the ecology of the lives a nd social cultures of craftsmen hidden behind the craftsmen of Song and Yuan Dynast y pottery figurines,covering areas such as the official and civilian system of pottery fi gurines,the advancement path of civilian craftsmen to official craftsmen,and the syst em of craftsmen’s learning.In response to the questions of missing original app earances of specimen relics and the lack of experience in crafts practice in academic r esearch,the dissertation fully restores the various processes of Song and Yuan pottery figurines through experimental techniques,answering questions related to the classific ation,grade,use,literature and original appearance of the products. |
