Research On Xi Jinping’s Important Exposition On Chinese Traditional Culture

Traditional culture is the past of a nation,but it also contains the genetic code that opens up the future and promotes the development and prosperity of the nation.Chinese traditional culture has a long history and is full of the inexhaustible spiritual genes of the Chinese nation,showing the spiritual support that ensures the Chinese nation to move upward and forge ahead.In the current cultural construction of China,only by applying and developing the ideology and moral code in the excellent traditional culture can the Chinese nation be dominant in the world as a cultural power.However,how to treat traditional culture is a century-old problem,historical nihilism to distort and deny history by means of parody,deduction,etc.,while cultural retrogressivism advocates a complete restoration of the past,worshipping ancient sages and sages beyond measure.In the face of various erroneous trends,it is necessary to establish a correct view of traditional culture and uphold a scientific attitude towards traditional culture.General Secretary Xi Jinping has his own unique insights into the connotation,value,treatment principles,and inheritance path of traditional culture.His important remarks on traditional Chinese culture are a powerful response to the erroneous trends and address the realistic path of how to treat,inherit,and develop traditional culture in the new era.This study clarifies the conditions for the formation,development process,main contents,distinctive features and contemporary values of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on Chinese traditional culture,and the path to promote Chinese traditional culture nowadays.First,this paper presents the conditions for the formation of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional Chinese culture in terms of theoretical origin,contemporary background,and personal conditions.From the theoretical origin,the traditional cultural views of classic Marxist writers and successive leaders of the Party have laid the theoretical foundation for the formation of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional Chinese culture;from the background of the times,the domestic and international environment and the general trend of cultural development call for the innovation of the guiding theory of cultural development;from the personal conditions,the simple red family style,deep traditional cultural heritage,and solid Marxist theoretical background provide the foundation for Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional Chinese culture.Xi Jinping’s important thesis on traditional culture provides an endogenous impetus for its formation.Second,the development of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional culture is reviewed,including the germination stage,the development stage,and the formation and perfection stage.Third,this paper advocates a comprehensive understanding of the main contents of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional culture from five aspects: the composition of traditional culture,the ideological essence of traditional culture,the value of traditional culture,the principles of treating traditional culture,and the development path of traditional culture.Fourthly,this paper clearly points out the distinctive features of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional Chinese culture,namely the dialectical nature of the thinking method,the practical nature of the theoretical character,and the people’s nature of the value orientation.He emphasizes that the promotion of traditional culture should adhere to the dialectical unity of inheritance and innovation,ethnicity and inclusiveness,specificity and comprehensiveness,should be based on the new historical orientation and practical requirements,and should adhere to the people-centered value orientation.Fifth,Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional Chinese culture guides cultural development in the new era,enriches the cultural theories of classic Marxist writers and the Chinese Communists,promotes the construction of a strong socialist cultural state,enhances the cultural confidence of the Chinese people,and provides Chinese wisdom for the exchange and mutual appreciation of world civilizations,and thus has important theoretical and practical significance.Sixth,it proposes a path to implement Xi Jinping’s important discourse on traditional Chinese culture.Guided by Xi Jinping’s important discourse on Chinese traditional culture,the practical path to promote Chinese excellent traditional culture is proposed,focusing on strengthening content construction,gathering the main forces,optimizing the development environment,enriching the development methods and improving the inheritance mechanism.
