The Research On Sketching Of Overseas Landscape Painting In The 1950s

Chinese landscape painting has undergone a long historical development and has accumulated a profound national cultural tradition,forming unique aesthetic concepts,expressive methods,and artistic forms.In the early 20 th century,the New Culture Movement sparked a wave of innovation in Chinese painting.The establishment of New China and the dramatic social changes that followed prompted landscape painters to reflect on themselves and engage in transformative practices.The rise of the outdoor sketching movement accelerated the pace of modern transformation and development in Chinese landscape painting.In the first 10 years after the founding of New China,"outdoor sketching outside the domain of landscape painting" emerged as a special phenomenon in the development process of Chinese painting,and it held special significance in the transformation of "new landscape painting" from tradition to modernity.Starting from the artistic aspirations of New China,this paper discusses the transformation of the mindset of Chinese painters from the early period of New China to the rise of outdoor sketching expeditions,and the development of new ideas,concepts,and art forms in the construction of the system and the value functions of landscape painting.The paper also analyzes the internal and external factors,theoretical discussions,and artistic practices that led to the transformation of landscape painting,the connection between outdoor sketching and the transformation of landscape painting,and the significance of outdoor sketching for the modern transformation of landscape painting.Furthermore,this paper explores the historical background and development status of outdoor sketching in landscape painting from the perspective of Chinese-foreign painting exchanges in the early years of New China.The paper also analyzes the language transformation and new brushwork of outdoor sketching works,as well as the graphic style and individuality reflected in the presentation of the works by examining representative and typical painters.The paper then conducts a comparative study of outdoor sketching in landscape painting during this period,analyzes the phenomenon of individual differences and diversity,and discusses the value of outdoor sketching in landscape painting from the perspective of diversity and uniqueness of international culture,enriched creative resources,enhanced "brushwork" expression,and integration of authenticity,vitality,and historical sense.The research focus of this paper is reflected in three aspects: 1)The role of landscape painting sketching in the transformation of Chinese painting after the establishment of New China,with a focus on whether "outdoor sketching in landscape painting" has an impact on the development of landscape painting in the modern period;2)Changes in aesthetics,brushwork,coloring,composition,and artistic conception in sketching works that express external themes,how to grasp the choice and integration of Chinese painting’s inherent brushwork patterns and the transformation of multiculturalism from an international perspective;3)Exploration of outdoor sketching practice in modern landscape painting,the era atmosphere,and artistic characteristics demonstrated by "outdoor sketching in landscape painting," and the spiritual pursuit of transcending "exoticism" brought about by "the other side."...
