The Tang Dynasty Folk Ethical Thoughts From Tun-huang Pien-wen

Since the beginning of Tunhuangology,the study of Tun-huang Pien-wen has been one of the hot research directions in Tunhuangology,and the academic circle generally places Tun-huang Pien-wen in the research category of "Dunhuang literature".This paper holds that Tun-huang Pien-wen plays an important role not only in the literary history,but also in the ideological history.It is an important carrier of the folk ethical thoughts of the Tang Dynasty.It covers the basic values of the folk ethical thoughts of the Tang Dynasty and the real ethical standards guiding the moral life of the Tang people,and the ethical values it contains cannot be ignored.But for the last century,the researches on Tun-huang Pien-wen mainly rely on collation science,but the research on its ideology content is little,so it is of great significance to study the folk ethical thought of Tang Dynasty which Tun-huang Pien-wen reflect.This paper adopts the method of combining text analysis and theoretical elucidations through studying the circulation and core content of each specific text of Tun-huang Pien-wen,to perspective the real ethical thoughts of the Tang Dynasty folk and the real ethical principles guiding the public’s behavior.And then through the Tang Dynasty folk ethical thoughts analysis and thinking of the ancient folk ethical thoughts on the contemporary citizen ethical thoughts and moral life of the impact,enlightenment and significance.The study is divided into five parts.The first part introduces Tun-huang Pien-wen,including their generation and evolution,features and meanings,classification and titles,and explains the classification methods,selection of texts and specific titles adopted in this paper: This paper divides Tun-huang Pien-wen into Buddhist sutra and non-Buddhist sutra,selects Selected Notes on Tun-huang Pien-wen as the basis,and studies twenty-four Tun-huang Pien-wen.The second part analyzes the national ethical thoughts and folk ethical thoughts,including the meaning,carrier and content of the two,in order to explain the necessity of paying attention to and studying folk ethical thoughts,and then summarizes the state of national ethical thoughts and folk ethical thoughts in the Tang Dynasty.The third part makes a detailed study of the Tang Dynasty folk ethical thoughts reflected in the Tun-huang Pien-wen of Buddhist sutras,including the view of filial piety,loyalty,Recurrent retribution,alms and humiliation.The fourth part makes a detailed study of the Tang Dynasty folk ethical thoughts reflected in the Tun-huang Pien-wen of non-Buddhist sutras,including the view of filial piety,patriotism and nationality,hero view,love view and resistance consciousness.The fifth part thinks and summarizes the Tang Dynasty folk ethical thoughts reflected in Dunhuang variations,and finds out the characteristics of The Times,compares the Tang Dynasty’s national ethical thoughts,and then obtains inspiration from it,analyzes the enlightenment of the ancient folk ethical thoughts to the contemporary citizen ethical thoughts and moral life.
