Guo Ruoxu’s Experiences in Painting,one of the basic works in the history of Chinese art,is an important document for the study of art history in the late Tang and Five Dynasties,especially in the Northern Song Dynasty.Since the book was written in the Northern Song Dynasty,the scholars in China and abroad have made a great deal of related research and a quantity of arrangements on Guo Ruoxu’s Experiences in Painting.In this thesis,it has been sorted out the research results of the predecessors at the angle of academic history and textual criticism the origin of the editions of the book.In addition,I have discoursed the reason why these articles of volume one are written and explored the content sources of the volume 2 to olume 6.Analyzing its painting thoughts was be included.Guo Ruoxu’s Experiences in Painting has been handed down in block prints and manuscripts,the version of every dynasty has made errors and amendments.The volume two is to choose the best edition at present to completely arrange the book.
