Research On Wang Ruoxu’s Writing Theory

Wang Ruoxu,as a famous writer,critic,and Confucian classics scholar in the Jin Dynasty,is famous for his broad and exquisite academics,profound and unique insights.He is the author of an academic monograph " a collection of elderly in hunan ",which concentratedly records Wang Ruoxu’s speculative expositions on Confucian classics,history,literature and other aspects,and the connections between various debates are also very close.Wang Ruoxu’s writings on poetry and writing theory explain his creative theoretical propositions in many fields such as article writing,subject cultivation,stylistic methods,and literary criticism.The principle of interpretation or the focus point have directly affected his confusion on writing theory,and penetrated into his theoretical achievements on article writing.In addition,his criticism of the inappropriate comments of the interpreters has also become an important theoretical component of his writing and criticism.However,Wang Ruoxu is mainly known in later generations as a Confucian scholar or critic,and his achievements in writing theory have been ignored by later generations to a certain extent.Based on this special phenomenon and on the basis of predecessors’ research,this article analyzes Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory with the theoretical proposition of the study of classics and history,in order to supplement the research on Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory.This article is mainly divided into five parts: one is to analyze the historical inevitability of the formation of Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory from the perspective of personal experience such as family influence,official career experience,and the current situation of Jin Dynasty literature.The second is to examine Wang Ruoxu’s writing ideas based on the study of classics and history.This chapter tries to start from the close connection between Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory and his thoughts on classics and history,analyze Wang Ruoxu’s writing purpose of “explaining for practicality and writing for practical use”,and on this basis summarizes Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory proposition.The third is to analyze and summarize the specific requirements of Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory for the subject’s quality from the perspectives of “like fame and fortune but don’t know style” “knowledge” and the pursuit of similarity.The fourth is to analyze Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory based on “meaning” from both vertical and horizontal directions.Firstly,according to the chronological order,the evolution of the theory of “mainly based on meaning” before the Jin Dynasty is vertically sorted out,and the influence of previous theories on the formation of “mainly based on meaning” is analyzed;secondly,from the internal elements,external elements and the second Starting from the relationship between writers,a comprehensive horizontal analysis of Wang Ruoxu’s theory of “focusing on meaning” is carried out.The fifth is to seek practical guidance from Wang Ruoxu’s writing theory in combination with the writing reality of contemporary society.
