| To include the comprehensive interconnections and interreactions between music and painting,this study proposes a new concept that names ‘audiovisual dynamics.’ As a universal concept,audiovisual dynamics is interpretated by a three-part design which includes theory,history and practice throughout this study.The first part is Intelectual Construction of Audiovisual Dynamics.With neuroscientific reference,the first chapter raises a Chinese proposal on synesthesia and tonggan that constructs the physiological basis of audiovisual dynamics.The second chapter shows interweaves between art and science.In his optical experiments,Isaac Newton connected musical scales to color spetrum that forms the cognitive basis of audiovisual dynamics.The third chapter presents a structuralist comparative analysis between music and painting empasising time and space.The second part is Evolution of Audiovisual Dynamics in Art History that demonstrates the procession of how music and painting inspired each other that constitue a new interpretation of ‘permanent revolution’.The third part is Chinese Proposals and Practice of Audiovisual Dynamics.It focuses on audiovisual dynamics in China’s modern art education that emerged intellectual enlightenment,and paintings by Chinese composers in twentieth century that illustrates music and painting with one heart.Thus,audiovisual dynamic aims to differ from former studies in ways of theory,history and practice,and raises a new framework towards a global subject. |
