| Text linguistics is a branch of linguistics rising after structural linguistics and transformational generative linguistics.It takes text as its research object.In essence,text linguistics belongs to the category of language research,and one of the important purposes of language research is to find the order or law of language organization.In order to find this law,scholars expand their research vision to the unit larger than sentence text.With the expansion of the scope of discourse research,some scholars,such as van dijik,turn their research perspectives to the structure,production and understanding of news reports,as well as the cognitive phenomena in these discourse types.In recent years,the research on news discourse has gradually expanded and deepened.Whether it is the analysis of discourse structure or the discussion of cohesive devices,the problem of discourse coherence should be solved in the final analysis.Therefore,on the basis of summarizing and absorbing the previous research results,this paper takes the news discourse coherence as the research core,takes the cognitive world theory as the support,and tries to make a comprehensive description of the news discourse,and discusses the coherence generation under the effect of cohesive devices and the static and dynamic levels of discourse language.This paper combines theoretical analysis with corpus investigation,and makes observation and Discussion on 1080 news texts of people’s daily from different perspectives,so as to prove the particularity of coherence generation mode of news discourse in cognitive world,and further enrich cognitive theory and text research content.It is of practical significance to clarify the cognitive generation mechanism of news discourse coherence for the accurate,timely and efficient dissemination of news.The paper is divided into seven partsThe first chapter,introduction,mainly determines the research object of this paper,analyzes the research significance and research methods.The second chapter is a literature review,which summarizes the research results of discourse and news discourse.The third chapter,based on the previous research,redefines the concept of news discourse and analyzes the uniqueness of news discourse relative to non news discourse.This paper summarizes the structural elements of news discourse and their permutation,draws on the relevant theory of "hierarchical system of language",and brings news discourse language into the category of hierarchical system research,so as to provide an overall idea for the further analysis of different levels of discourse coherence generation.Chapter four to chapter six are the main body of the thesis.Chapter four first analyzes the cohesive devices within and between news discourses,which can be divided into single discourse cohesion and multi discourse cohesion.On the basis of defining the concept of "news discourse coherence",this paper discusses the generation of coherence under the effect of cohesive devices.The fifth chapter discusses the generation of discourse coherence from the static level of news discourse,mainly using ICM,ECM and other theories to explain the news title metaphorically and metonymically.We believe that the title of news discourse is textual,which generates coherence with the subject and the receiver(the reader)through metaphor or metonymy.Headlines are induced and generalized by macro rules.At the same time,headlines can activate the main information of news discourse.The title of news discourse is also the most direct and efficient way to generate cognitive coherence between the producer and the receiver,so as to realize the purpose of news discourse informing quickly.Chapter six discusses the generation of coherence from the dynamic level of news discourse.First of all,we need to analyze the inter sentence coherence of the news discourse from the perspective of human’s proximity function.Next,the paper uses the theory of construction to analyze the coherence generation between the formal dynamic layer and the content dynamic layer of news discourse.The coherence of form dynamic layer refers to the coherence of title,lead and subject through "event information unit";the coherence analysis of content dynamic layer discusses the coherence generation of simple variant construction and complex variant construction from the perspective of the coherence of various elements.Finally,the paper puts the news discourse in the context of news,analyzes how to achieve mental coherence between the producer and the receiver,and develops a cognitive model of news discourse coherence generation based on the relevant theories of cognitive linguistics and the research results of context,so as to explain the process of its generation and understanding and realize the purpose of news communication.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the innovation and shortcomings of the article,and prospects the future research direction.One of the most important innovations is to explore the generation of news discourse coherence from the static and dynamic levels based on the definition of news discourse coherence,and try to establish a cognitive model.Finally,it comes to the conclusion that the cognitive world has sufficient explanatory power for the generation of news discourse coherence.The producer combines his own cognition of news events with the context of discourse generation,and fully considers the cognitive ability of the receiver,so as to generate news discourse with efficient communication effect and finally achieve News Discourse coherence. |
