| The upgradation of rural tourism is a significant phenomenon in the course of cultural industries development and consumer culture transformation in China.Also,it is an essential component of the high-quality development of society and economy in our country.As the development of rural tourism is regarded as an important step of the rural revitalization strategy,which has been incorporated as an indispensable part into the ecological civilization transition programs in China,the upgradation of rural tourism in the new phase has thus been endowed with a remarkable historical coordinate.Compared with traditional tourism,the upgrading rural tourism attaches ever-increasing importance to tourists’ rural cultural experience and local value identification,demonstrating unprecedented tourism-culture tie strength.How to,in a more ample and delicate fashion,integrate local culture and characteristic resources into rural tourism? How to promote the transformation of tangible tourism resources such as historical buildings,mountains,woods,and pastoral gardens to the intangible atmosphere of “rurality”characterized by rural tourism ? And how can intangible local historical stories and lifestyles be transformed into visible,perceptible and experiential rural tourism products,which can well blend in with the aesthetic implications of Chinese culture? These practical problems in industrial practice have jointly placed art intervention onto the key position of solutions.The result of feedback from surveys supports the prediction of art intervention application that art intervention,mediating by optimizing “travel experience”,is regarded as a common means and an inevitable route.Meanwhile,in doing so,art itself realizes the accumulation of experience and derivation of epochal value.The confluence of these factors determines in a great sense the practical value and theoretical significance of research on the action of art intervention.With an overall view of the cultural industries and a comprehensive application of theories and methodologies from studies of art,tourism science,sociology,economics,etc,this dissertation aims to induce and analyse the phenomena and issues reflected by the surveys through a range of perspectives,such as cultural attribution,economic logic and technological path.This thesis paper also strives to form an assessment framework for the practice of art intervention in rural tourism upgradation from the standpoint of experiential construction.This paper mainly falls into five parts.First,a survey based on the current situation outlines the present picture of the art intervention in rural tourism upgradation against the macrobackground of social development and rural revitalization.Viewing from artistic research,this beginning part also combs the general phenomenon of intervention practice from the two latitudes of performance and motivation.Next,the second and third parts of the thesis dissect the cultural elements and economic logic of art intervention in rural tourism from two respective aspects—culture and society,two factors constituting the necessity and legitimacy of art intervention and corresponding with the social and economic profits aimed at by rural tourism upgradation.When rural tourism is correlated with multiple values like local creation,urban and rural integration,cultural development and even national civilization,art intervention,which exerts a direct impact on industrial practice,is naturally invested with a higher standard and more expectation.Then,the fourth part of the paper emphasizes the subjects,methods and paradigm characteristics,etc,of intervention,analyzing the relevant actions via technological paths and generalizing the three main paradigms with which art participates in rural tourism upgradation.Finally,the fifth part of the dissertation evaluates the art intervention into practice during the process of rural tourism upgrading by locating it in the macro-background of economic logic,cultural concepts and social order,etc,in the process of China’s strategic transition of ecological civilization.By positioning specific issues in the overall map,attempts are made to see more clearly the internal and external constraints and interactive logical relationship faced by art intervention in the upgrading of rural tourism,thus the hope of gaining assessment methods of art intervention in the upgrading process of rural tourism as well as understanding the orientation of its future development. |
