On The Relationship Between Optical Color And Contemporary Fine Brushwork Painting Research

On the basis of inheriting tradition,and by borrowing scientific colour moulding concepts from the West,modern claborate-style painting has formed a new way of creating artistic conception through scientific colour relations,to meet the needs of new era and the aesthetic demands of modern people.Modern claborate-style painting constructs its beauty of artistic conception by means of scientific colour relations,and realizes the transformation of moulding language from traditional pen and ink dominated way to the modern way of colour moulding.The traditional concept of moulding in claborate-style painting which is“dominated by ink with colours as supplements” may result the absence of colour expression,and the painting looks dark and lacks visual impacts due to the decolouring effect of ink.By contrast,it can break through the limitation by fusing scientific colour relations into the claborate-style painting.In accordance with analysis,this paper has studied the characteristics of colour moulding language,the aesthetic characteristics of artistic conception of modern claborate-style painting,and the scientific nature and creativity of applying colour relations in constructing the artistic conception of claborate-style painting.Firstly,the contrast relations of complementary colours,purity,cool and warm colours are employed to construct the relations between imagination and reality in the artistic conception of modern claborate-style painting.Colours are not simply used but combined to create contrast,forming the rich,distinctive and unique artistic language of claborate-style painting.Secondly,the contrast relations of complementary colours form the overall grey tone of the works and meet people’s needs of visual balance.Neutral grey is the midpoint of our visual balance.Only when looking at something in the situation of neutral grey can we get a harmonious and comfortable visual experience.The grey tone created by complementary colours in contrast gives full play to the vitality of colours,showing the dynamic features of colour moulding.Thirdly,the artistic conception of traditional Chinese paintings is created by “adding momentum” through pen and ink,while that of modern claborate-style painting is generated with “echoing”colours.Nevertheless,both of them conform to the physiological requirement of visual balance.Eye-catching colour moulding endows the artistic conception of modern claborate-style painting with the characteristics of “vividness and vitality”.The change of moulding language for creating the artistic conception of modern claborate-style painting meets the needs of this new era,the aesthetic demands of modern people,and modern painters’ needs of forming personalized artistic languages.The use of scientific colour relations to construct the artistic conception of claborate-style painting broadens the expressive space of this artistic form,opens up a new situation of such creation,and builds a new image of modern claborate-style painting in a great variety of forms and colours.
