| The object of this dissertation is the Kulun folk songs passed down in the Kulun region of Inner Mongolia.Based on the first-hand material obtained through field survey,this dissertation excavates,summarizes,traces,analyzes and explains the Inner Mongolian Kulun folk songs of from a multidimensional perspective,and discusses the issues related to the past traditions of the formation and development of Kulun folk songs and their spread and inheritance.Thus,the Inner Mongolian Kulun folk songs are examined comprehensively,objectively and systematically.Through application of field interviews,oral recollections,and case studies,this paper expands the multi-dimensional,underlying spiritual and cultural space of Kulun folk songs.Meanwhile,specific recommendations for the protection of Kulun folk songs that are being lost are proposed.The dissertation consists of four parts: introduction,main body,conclusion and appendix respectively.The introduction includes the source,the purpose and significance of the research topic,the review of previous research and research methods,as well as the sources of relevant materials for this study.The chapter one,"Kulun Folk Songs in the Perspective of Oral History",examines and verifies the origin,historical figures,stories and development of four classical songs from the perspective of oral history,namely,"Da Gula","Na Musilai","Que Jiaodcer" and "UYudai".In this chapter,we visited the heritage areas of the four Kulun folk songs in Inner Mongolia and the places where the stories behind the songs took place.We also interviewed the close descendants of the main characters in the songs,their relatives and neighbors,the scholars of local culture and Mongolian folk artists,and obtained firsthand materials to fully investigate the biographies of the main characters,stories behind the songs,and historical evolution and development of the four songs,that is,"Da Gula","Na Musilai","Que Jiaodcer" and "UYudai".The chapter two discusses the cultural ecology of Kulun folk songs from the perspective of cultural ecology.The Kulun culture in Inner Mongolia is a convergent regional culture gradually formed and developed under the special geographical and humanistic environment of the Kulun area.Based on this,the author adopts the theory and methods of cultural ecology to deeply analyze the ecology of the natural environment,the ecology of religious and popular culture as well as the ecology of harmonious culture that implied in Kulun folk songs.The chapter three examines Kulun folk songs from the theory of oral composition.By analyzing the relationship between folk song creation and performance,the theory of oral composition would be applied to explore the Kulun folk songs from the perspective of performance context,text,and creation etc.,and to summarize the performance composition,text,tradition,and improvisation of Kulun folk songs so as to bear out the oral transmission of Kulun folk songs,and to come up with the author’s new ideas.The concluding section summarizes the content of the dissertation and outlines its innovations. |
