The thought of "Personality Cultivation" is one of the inner purport of pre-Qin Confucianism,after Confucius to know,desire,courage,art,text,righteousness,faith and other content to talk about the standard of"Achievement of ideal personality",Xunzi systematically elucidated the inherent principle and generating mechanism of "how man can become ideal personality",among them,Xunzi’s discussion on the basic composition of nature,heart and artificial and its function,value and significance to"Achievement of ideal personality" is the most wonderful,this.is to establish the pre-Qin Confucian "Achievement of ideal personality"thought of the internal composition,it is of great significance to the perfection of the pre-Qin Confucian thought of "Achievement of ideal personality".This paper introduces the concept of "personality" into the study of Xunzi’s "Achievement of ideal personality" thought,to Xunzi’s"Achievement of ideal personality" thought made a philosophical interpretation and interpretation based on "What people really are" to"What should a man do",therefore,it takes Xunzi’s personality cultivation thought as the research theme.The paper is based on "What people really are" in the world of Xunzi’s thought,in Xunzi’s words namely:"the reason why people are human",the function,value and significance of nature and heart for human being’s objective and real existence,"What should a man do" is the constitution and aim of Xunzi’s theory of artificial,and Xunzi’s criticism of realistic personality and the shaping of ideal personality as the main line,analyses the theory characteristic of Xunzi’s personality formation thought in detail,it is of great exemplary significance for the systematic understanding of Xunzi and even the pre-Qin Confucian"Achievement of ideal personality" thought.The full text is divided into nine parts.The introduction part mainly discusses the origin and significance of the problem,judge the important turn of the current study of Xunzi’s theory lies in digging out the good prescription for remediation of the world and healing people’s hearts from Xunzi’s theory,especially Xunzi’s discussion on the cultivation of personality is the most important,through literature review related to the study of Xunzi,Xunzi personality formation thought,Confucian personality thought and other research status,it is found that this research should break through an important dilemma,that is,it should take "real person"and "ideal person" as the target to conduct theoretical research,so you can take advantage of current research,study on Xunzi’s thought of personality formation.The first chapter focuses on the problems that the current Chinese philosophical research does not use the concept of personality in the western philosophy and psychology in detail,and tends too much to the pan-moral theory and neglects the individual free will,therefore,from the etymology of the concept of "personality",the word"mask" in ancient Greece,to Jung’s analogy of the connotation of the concept of "personality" with the meaning of "Tao" in Chinese classical philosophy since the 20th century,he made a corresponding comb,so as to define the basic connotation of the concept of "personality" and determine the research perspective that can be introduced in this paper:Firstly,"What people really are",mainly in the human nature,heart,artificial and other objective facts;Secondly,emphasize the respect for individual free will,that is,the subjective and objective reality of the human mind,the transformation of the mind to the nature,and the practice mode,process and expression of the unity of the nature and artificial nature;Thirdly,"What should a man do" manifests the individual’s pursuit of goodness and moral law,which also includes the commonness of human beings,that is,the ideal of group personality and its generating principle and mechanism.Fourth,in terms of different "personality" images,first of all,it is necessary to clarify the objective reality of people,even if they are small people,dwarfs and other imperfect personality characteristics,and secondly,it is necessary to clarify the rational personality or ideal personality characteristics of people,to highlight its value and significance for individual existence.Fifthly,we should build a language analysis or interpretation mode which is exclusive to the study of Xunzi’s personality cultivation thought,and its goal is to restore a real personality situation in the world of Xunzi’s thought.The second chapter is based on the text of Xunzi,investigate Xunzi’s statement "What people really are" like the qualities that distinguish people from other species,it reveals such characteristics as "life is born with desire","life is born with perception","life is born with nature","life is not without group","humanity is not without distinction","Natural and People achievement" and so on,To see "people as they really are",then to be certain,nature and heart are the core element of personality cultivation.The third chapter is investigate the possibility of "to change the nature" as a way to develop personality,investigates the basic composition of Xunzi’s theory of nature,define Xunzi’s nature as the nature of nature,intrinsically,it contains nature emotion and desire,nature has the meaning of noumenon,emotion is the reality state of nature,desire is the proper state of nature.In addition,also studies the meaning of Xunzi’s characters of material nature,talent nature,mass of nature,nature of life,nature of The people’s and so on,which enriches the understanding of Xunzi’s character of speech.Xunzi’s statement that"human nature is evil" has always been the focus of academic investigation,this paper only regards it as a part of Xunzi’s discourse about nature but does not drown in it,it focuses on the mechanism of Xunzi’s theory of evil,illustrate the path of Xunzi’s speech to eradicate evil.Thus,the author puts forward the objective reality of Xunzi’s words about "change nature"including changing nature,curing emotion and driving desire,it clarifies the objective elements that human beings really exist and can be changed.Systematic elucidate that "change nature" is the inevitable way to develop personality.Chapter four investigates that "wisdom heart" is the pivot of personality cultivation.in Xunzi’s view,the nature cannot be independent and autonomous,but depends on the heart to cure the nature.Through the study of Xunzi’s text about heart,it is found that Xunzi’s words about heart is generally manifested in three situations:positive,negative and positive and negative negotiation。And these manifestations of the heart are undoubtedly determined by the inner basic composition of the heart,Xunzi’s words about heart includes three levels:the heart of material,the heart of function and the heart of meaning,the heart of material is heart,the heart of function is the ability of the heart to see,feel,think,consider,artificial and so on,the heart of meaning is the.content of the heart,such as meaning,ambition,thought,wisdom and so on,this proves to be the objective basis of mind as the pivot of personality cultivation.The fifth chapter examines the process of Xunzi’s personality cultivation,namely "Accumulate and artificial",Xunzi’s theory of"artificial" contains two meanings:the first is the innate artificial senses of the heart,the second is the "artificial" of the saints after their birth,such as specific methods and contents such as product,custom,etiquette and justice and so on.The second meaning of "artificial" consists of product,practice,learning,cultivation,,division,cure and so on,the content consists of ritual,righteousness,music,law,literature,nominalism,speech,argument,professional skills,etc.these methods and contents determine the process of personality cultivation,it is also the main content of Xunzi’s Kongfu theory.Chapter six investigates the aim of Xunzi’s personality formation that is to accumulate good into virtue,firstly,the significance and formation mechanism of Confucius’narration of goodness and virtue are investigated,Mencius’new development on the question of goodness and virtue,in order to clarify the pre-Qin Confucian good,moral problems of the ideological situation and development context,then we investigate the formation mechanism,mutual relationship and intrinsic value of Xunzi’s good speech and virtue,it holds that Xunzi has proved the question of goodness and virtue from the perspective of humanistic rationality,solve’the problem of direction and path which can be artificial,set the great achievements of pre-Qin Confucianism.The seventh chapter examines Xunzi’s criticism of realistic personality and the shaping of rational personality on the basis of his own education and theoretical accomplishment.Xunzi’s criticism of realistic personality includes the criticism of pre-Qin scholars,the internal criticism of Confucianism and the criticism of villains,especially the criticism of villains’personality is very classic.Xunzi’s shaping of ideal personality mainly includes scholars,scholars and gentlemen,gentlemen,saint and so on,among which the shaping of gentleman personality is especially hard,which can be called the model of pre-Qin Confucianism.Xunzi also pioneered the addition and classification of the genealogy of saint.Obviously,Xunzi is a saint’s standard to carry out self-requirements,there is no doubt that Xunzi’s achievements are not a saint that can not been.The conclusion part briefly summarizes the logical composition of the study of Xunzi’s personality cultivation thought,that is,the realization path from Xunzi’s statement that "What people really are" to "accumulate goodness and become virtue",it also reevaluates the value and significance of this research and even Xunzi’s academic thought for solving the dilemma of human society development.
