Study On The Influential Factors Of The Sustainable Operation Of Chinese Film And Television Bases

Entering the new century,China’s cultural industry has developed rapidly,which can not only improve people’s cultural living standard effectively,but also play an increasingly important role to drive the national economy.During the 13 th Five-Year Plan period,China promoted the cultural industry to the strategic height of the pillar industry,and local governments formulated and issued supporting policies and measures to develop the cultural industry as well.It should be pointed out that the film and television industry as an important part of the cultural industry has been further developed with the promotion of the related policies,and especially,the film and television base which is an important carrier of the film and television industry has become “the grand opera” in the development.At this stage,the film and television bases in China are large in number,landing,and investment with rich types of operation throughout China.The development of China’s film and television bases has experienced the embryonic period,the rapid development period,the prosperous period,and the adjustment period,however,the sustainable operation of the bases are challenged greatly with some serious problems such as oversupply,repeated construction,homogenizing competition exposing gradually.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the sustainable operation and the influential factors of Chinese film and television bases.Firstly,the related literature and the theoretical basis of the sustainable development and operation management of the film and television bases were summarized,and the development and evolution of the film and television base in China were analyzed comprehensively in this study.Secondly,three representative and successful film and television bases were selected as cases: Hengdian World Studios,which is China’s largest film and television base;Xiangshan Global Studios,which is China’s fastest-growing and most potential film and television base;and China West Film Studios,which is China’s most cost-effective film and television base.Then,based on the theory of organization operation management,the strategic orientation,management system,support system and operation mode of the cases were analyzed through exploratory case study method,four factors affecting the sustainable operation of China’s film and television bases were preliminarily obtained:they are market value,community harmony,resource endowment,base management,and the relationship between the sustainable operation with those four factors were further analyzed with reference to the theory of sustainable development and the previous study,the theoretical model and research hypothesis affecting the sustainable operation of China’s film and television bases were put forward.Following the above,367 film and television base staff were investigated through questionnaires,research hypothesis were tested by the method of exploratory factor analysis,multivariate linear regression analysis.It was found that the more perfect the film and television base management system,the more harmonious the community,the stronger the ability to use resource endowment for dislocation development,and the greater the market value of using the driving effect of the popular dramas,the stronger the sustainable operation ability of the film and television base is,that is,the base management,community harmony,resource endowment and market value have significant positive impacts on the sustainable operation of the film and television bases.Finally,the corresponding policy suggestions from the macro and micro aspects of film and television base operation and management was put forward.From the macro aspect: to carry on the scientific and reasonable plans according to the market demand of film and television bases;to strengthen the examination and approval to the film and television base construction projects;to establish annual inspection system and the withdrawal mechanism of the film and television bases;to support and urge the establishment of film and television service institutions;and to focus on the cultivation of film and television bases of the world’s advanced level.From the micro level: it is necessary to have a clear strategic position and carry out scientific and reasonable development planning at the beginning of the construction of the film and television bases;to carry out scientific and modern management of the film and television bases by hiring professional management personnel and making use of advanced management concepts;to actively fulfill social responsibility and create a harmonious coexistence environment;to make full use of resource endowment,carry out a dislocation development and consolidate the competitive ability of the film and television bases;and to develop the market value of the film and television bases with the help of the propaganda and driving effect of the hot dramas produced in the bases.The research of this paper can not only enrich the theoretical research on the operation and management of the film and television bases,but also provide theoretical guidance for the construction and development of China’s film and television bases to formulate scientific,reasonable and effective operation strategies.
