| Language barriers are one of the main comorbid barriers for patients with autism spectrum.Sentence comprehension is an important foundation for children’s communication and learning other skills.It is also the core area of psycholinguistic research and the core content of language rehabilitation for children with autism.Language and cognition are closely related,and have formed many viewpoints and debates about different models of sentence comprehension process.Previous studies on sentence comprehension were mainly based on typical developmental children,and related researches on children with high-functioning autism were insufficient in both quantity and depth.Based on the realistic needs of language rehabilitation for children with high-functioning autism,this study adopts a singlefactor repeated measurement experimental design to treat high-functioning autistic children,physiological age-matched typical developing children,and language agematched typical developing children from a syntactic perspective to their sentences The comprehension ability was studied in 4 parts.The first part is about the current situation and characteristics of sentence comprehension.The second part is the study of different sentence processing strategies.The third part is the research on the relationship between executive function and sentence comprehension.The fourth part is a case study of the effect of executive function training on its language comprehension ability Case study.The main research results are as follows:Study 1: Study on the characteristics of sentence comprehension in children with high-functioning autism(1)In the understanding of general sentences,the understanding of general sentences is better than that of complex sentences in the children with high functioning autism.It is difficult to sunderstand special single sentences and complex compound sentences(hypothetical complex sentences,conditional complex sentences)with higher difficulty.The comprehension ability of single and complex sentences in the highfunctioning autistic children was significantly inferior than that in the typical developing children with biological age matching,and was similar to that in the typical developing children with language age matching.(2)In the understanding of temporary ambiguous sentences,children with high-functioning autism have the garden path effect of temporary ambiguous sentences;in terms of the comprehension rate and reaction time of temporary ambiguous sentences,children with high-functioning autism are significantly weaker than two.The class-matched group typically develops children.Study 2: Study on the sentence processing strategy of children with high functioning autism(1)On the task of simple sentences,the main effect of word order in sentence processing is significant,but the main effect of semantics is not significant.Children with high functioning autism mainly adopt sentence processing strategies based on word order;two types of typical developmental children use word order and Sentence processing strategy combining semantics.(2)On the task of temporary ambiguous sentences,the typical developing children used stable word order processing strategies,and the correct rate is higher.Children with high-functioning autism showed more sentence comprehension errors.In addition to using word order processing strategies,including ignoring syntactic error cues,self-constructing reasonable semantic information,or adopting nonverbal spatial processing strategies.(3)The eye movement indicators(Time to first fixation,First fixation duration,Fixation duration,Total fixation duration)of temporary ambiguity sentence processing in children with highfunctioning autism are all weaker than those of typical developing children.Research shows that high-functioning autism It is difficult for children to process temporary ambiguous sentences,the processing speed of semantic extraction and syntactic reconstruction is slow,and the ability to restrain interference factors is weak.Study 3: Study on the executive function characteristics of children with highfunctioning autism and its influence on sentence comprehensionIn working memory,compared with the two types of typical developing children,children with high-functioning autism have better mechanical memory,lower capacity of working memory,normal function of speech circuit module,and visual space module impairment.In terms of inhibiting ability,children with high-functioning autism have a certain degree of inhibiting ability,which is inferior than the two types of typical developmental children,and there are defects in dominant response inhibition and interference response inhibition.In terms of cognitive flexibility,the cognitive flexibility of children with high-functioning autism is significantly inferior than that of the two types of typical developing children,and there is a stereotyped response pattern.The various factors of executive function are closely related to sentence comprehension.Study 4: Intervention study on the language comprehension ability of children with high-functioning autism based on executive function trainingUsing a single subject experimental design of A-B-A,three high-functioning autistic children were intervened in individual cases of executive function(inhibition,working memory,and cognitive flexibility).The results show that the executive function of children with high-functioning autism has plasticity,and the language comprehension ability of the case has made significant changes after the intervention.The significance and innovation of this research are: a more in-depth discussion on the ability and characteristics of sentence comprehension of children with highfunctioning autism;different research paradigms are used to study sentence processing strategies for children with high-functioning autism,and The study of the cognitive processing of eye movement;the relationship between executive function and sentence comprehension of children with high-functioning autism is explored in detail,and the plasticity of
