Nan Jing(The Classic of Difficult Issues),known as one of the Traditional Chinese Medicine classics,is a book about basic medical theory. It has an important impact on Traditional Chinese Medicine in history. This paper carries out a literature study of Nan Jing from three aspects.Puts forward the idea of dynamically describing Traditional Chinese Medicine books, divides Nan Jing into two parts, combs its spread in history, annotated it for the purpose of innovation in Traditional Chinese Medicine books collation, and discusses some knowledge. The study concluded that:1.Nan Jing should be divided into two parts. One part, which deals mainly with physiology, diseases and diagnosis,is logically coherent and much earlier;the other part, compiled by Yang Xuancao,is later and still contains many contradictions.Examining the Nan Jing with a new vision will reveal that many problems can be solved and more convincing conclusions can be drawn for some studies of knowledge.2.With regard to the issue of the time of writing early medical books, the idea of“dynamic portrayal” should be adopted. The idea of “dynamic portrayal” is to describe in detail the process of ancient texts from literary history,to continuous revision of the content, and then to final fixation.Nan Jing is a medical book no later than the Western Jin Dynasty, which originally claimed that the author was Huang Di,and the notes of Lü Guang were popular in the Liang Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty,Yang Xuancao added it and claimed that the author was Bianque,so it was fixed and handed down today.3.Collation of Traditional Chinese Medicine books should have its own characteristics. This paper makes a little innovation, mainly in the form of annotations,to show the historical evolution of some knowledge. It also focuses on collecting new ideas from other scholars. Some difficult words are explained, such as “mao” in “qi kong san mao” as “meridians” and “she” in “bian she” as “needling”.4.The examination of the knowledge of Nan Jing should exclude the interference of posthumous commentaries and other medical books, and also conduct horizontal and vertical comparisons. This paper finds that the arteries in Nan Jing are the sites for diagnosing diseases, while the arteries in Huang Di Nei Jing(Inner Canon of Huang Di)are mostly the sites for acupuncture and moxa smoking, which are different. In addition, the“The source of the life qi.” in Nan Jing is different from what is called “vital qi” today.5.To study Nan Jing,it is important to pay attention to rare documents such as Ji Tianxi’s edition. This book can be used to proofread the original text and commentary of Nan Jing, and also preserves many precious documents with high research value. |
