China situates in Asia and the Pacific key areas, and many neighboring countries have aunique geographical location. For the close economic ties with the neighboring countries, geoeconomic relationship has taken the leading position in China's foreign trade. With the recenteconomic strength, China has become the biggest exporter in the world, and will soon becomethe number one importer. When Japan, ASEAN, South Korea and Russia have becomeChina's stable parts of the ten largest trade partners, China's foreign trade volume hasincreased year by year. Especially after the world financial crisis and the European debt crisis, the global economic environment was destroyed. Compared with European and the Americancountries' response to the crisis, China has strengthened economic exchanges and cooperationwith neighboring countries, which improved the region's economic recovery, and to someextent promoted the world economic recovery. This is also the interpretation that China, as theworld's largest developing countries, has made an important contribution to the developmentof the world economy. In the new international economic situation, China's geo economiccooperation with neighboring districts and its international influence is gradually increasedand more widely.Based on the theory of economic geography and the geopolitical relations as the internalcues, this paper, with related knowledge of the regional economic and international trade, focuses on the analysis of the features of spatial pattern of China's commodity trade withneighboring countries in the new international situation after the world financial crisis.Through longitudinal comparison, the evolution process in a certain period of time of China'sspatial pattern of commodity trade with neighboring countries is analyzed. And then throughthe national comparison, the paper tries to find out the characteristics of spatial pattern ofChina's commodity trade with neighboring countries in a particular point. At the same time,on the phenomena of China's commodity trade with neighboring countries, the paper hasstudied various factors which may cause the present spatial pattern and affect the development. Some suggestions are also put forward for China's commodity trade with neighboringcountries in the current development. The article is divided into five chapters, and the specificcontents are as followed:Chapter1is the introduction. First, wth the analysis of international trade environment, the status of Chinese foreign commodity trade, and the main effects of the commodity trade, this chapter elaborates the background of the topic, and puts forward the theory and practicalsignificance of this study. At the same time, the specific research questions and target asexpected are set as well, and then to discuss the research method involved. At last, the difficulties and limitations of this research are proposed. The second chapter, divided into two sections, is on the related theory research of thespatial pattern of China's commodity trade with neighboring countries. We can prepare for thefollow-up problem, through the analysis of the related concepts(including the concept ofinternational trade geography, the trade integration degree and formula, direction of trade andformula, the concepts of globalization and economic globalization and the definition of Chinaneighboring countries) and the related theories(such as the location theory, spatial interactiontheory, geopolitics, geo economic theory, regional division of labor theory, cultural conflicttheory, the strategic trade policy theory and the new trade protectionism). The third chapter is mainly on the analysis to China's trade environment withneighboring countries. First of all, the more and more obvious global economy, thetremendous impact of international economic crisis, and the transferred gravity of globaleconomic, have described the international trade environment our country facing with;secondly, the paper briefly analyzes the location conditions that China has with neighboringcountries, including natural conditions, social conditions and geographic channelconstruction. The fourth chapter is on the spatial pattern features of Chinese commodity trade withneighboring countries. In this chapter, the commodity is classified into22categories by thecustoms code as the standard. By the quantitative analysis of trade combination andneighboring countries' trade status in Chinese commodity trade, the correlation analysis ofChina's commodity trade with neighboring countries is analyzed. With all kinds ofcommodities trade distribution, there is a comparison and analysis of the trade distributionchange of22types of commodities in2008and2012. By selecting the major commodity, geographic concentration is calculated. At the same time, on the regional classification ofneighboring countries, the section focuses on selecting main countries for bilateral tradefeatures analysis. The fifth chapter is on the influencing factors and optimization suggestions of China'scommodity trade with surrounding countries.
