research object of this paper and sorts out the research status of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".As far as the current research results are concerned, although there are some research results on Sima Zhen and "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi",there are still many aspects that need to be improved in the systematic research on the monograph "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".The following is a study on the five aspects of the monograph "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".The first chapter discusses the completion and spreading of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".This chapter starts from the background of the time when the book "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" was written, and collates the data to explore the process of its author Sima Zhen and the book "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi"as well as its publicity in later generations. The second chapter introduces the history of reception research of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".In the process of the publicity of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi",as a separate book and a combined edition attached to "Shih Chi",many scholars have discussed Sima Zhen or "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" since the Song Dynasty. This chapter is divided into four parts to introduce the acceptance and research of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" by scholars in Song,Yuan,Ming,Qing Dynasties and modern times. The third chapter is an introduction to Ji Guge's "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".At the end of the Ming Dynasty,Ji Guge's publication of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" is the earliest single edition of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi",and the single edition of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" has been spread again. This chapter is to discuss Ji Gu Ge's version of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi",to explore the origin of its publication and edition,to introduce its specific content and style,to put forward and discuss some problems in its edition and content, and finally to sort out its circulation and preservation in later generations. The fourth chapter sorts out the features of each edition of the "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".After Ji Gu Ge published and engraved "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi",this book was not only excerpted and recorded by "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" but also reprinted by Guangya Book Company to obtain the "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" by Guangya Book Company.Later, the edition by Guangya Book Company was printed by "Series Integration" to obtain the "Series Integration" book "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi".This chapter focuses on the two kinds of manuscripts of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" that can be seen at present-Wen Yuan Ge and Wen Jin Ge codex, one kind of supplement copy of "Four Divisions"-Wen Lan Ge codex, one kind of Guangya Books engraving and one kind of "Series Integration" typography. The main purpose is to clarify the similarities and differences and compare the advantages and disadvantages of Ji Gu Ge's and these five books after they are mutually checked.Through comparison,it can be found that the block-printed edition of Guangya Books is the most consistent with the original appearance of Ji Gu Ge's original edition, and from the perspective of content quality,Wen Jin Ge's copy of "Four Division" is the best of the five. However, these five later editions of "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" also have new errors to varying degrees. The fifth chapter interprets the criticism and proofreading of Ji Gu Ge's "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" among the five existing schools. The five versions of checked editions of Ji Gu Ge's "Sima Zhen's Notes on Shih Chi" are respectively the"Anonymous Record of Qing Dynasty reviewed by Qian Sunbao",the version "Reviewed by Wu Shouyang of Qing Dynasty and Recorded by Zhou Chun of Qing Dynasty",the version "Recorded by Mo Shengsun of Qing Dynasty and Checked and Recorded by Mo Youzhi" in Shanghai Library, the version "Checked by Fang Quan of Qing Dynasty"in Shanghai Fudan University Library, and the version "Cheched and Recorded by Fang Quan of Qing Dynasty”in the National Library. This chapter is divided into five sections to interpret the criticism and proofreading in these five schools. In addition to the the version "Reviewed by Wu Shouyang of Qing Dynasty and Recorded by Zhou Chun of Qing Dynasty" collected by the National Library of China, which was only discussed in important aspects because it failed to record all the approved texts, this paper has recorded and analyzed the contents of the approved texts in detail for the other four.
