Since the 21 st century,British general schools have carried out the reform of singing teaching,musical instrument teaching,music classroom teaching method and music creativity teaching,which are named "sing up","wide opportunities","musical future" and "creative partnerships".The implementation of these reforms broke through the traditional pattern of music education in British general schools.By using the way of professional music institutions and groups entering the classroom outside the school,the cooperative partnership between the school and the outside school and the music teachers outside the school and the professional musicians outside the school was established,which opened the connection between the school and the society,and constructed a benign music education ecological environment,It makes music education in British general schools glow new vitality and vitality in the 21 st century.This paper takes the reform of singing teaching,musical instrument teaching,music classroom teaching and music creativity teaching carried out by British general schools since the 21 st century as the research object.Through the in-depth research on the background,implementation mode and effect evaluation of the reform,this paper looks at the characteristics of the music education reform in the British general schools since the 21 st century and examines the existing problems,and the reform of music education in British general schools in the past century is sorted out.Chapter One is the driving force of the reform of music education in British general schools.Unlike the music education reform mode led by the Ministry of education and from top to bottom in China,the reform of music education in British general schools is promoted by many forces.In the 20 th century,the development of science and technology,cultural trends,composers,government and other forces jointly promoted the development of music education in British general schools,making the 20 th century the most frequent and fastest-growing century of the reform of music education in British general schools.Since the 21 st century,the reform of music education in British general schools has continued the characteristics of the 20 th century.The government,foundation,music professionals and other forces jointly promoted the reform of music education in the 21 st century.Chapter Two is the reform of singing teaching in British general schools.In 2007,the British government launched the singing teaching reform,named "sing up",including:the choir enters the campus,introduces the professional chorus teaching into the school through the cooperation between the church choir and the school;Inclusive singing teaching,facing the students with special education needs and economic poverty areas,provides high-quality singing learning experience for the students of this vulnerable group;The purpose of teacher training is to train a high level of teaching staff for the reform of singing teaching.Chapter Three is the teaching reform of musical instruments in British general schools.The musical instrument teaching reform was named "Wider Opportunities",which began in 2002 and is open to all students in grades three to six.During the implementation of the reform,a continuous partnership was established with off-campus music service organizations and instrumentalists.The musical instrument teaching reform included schools in poor areas,providing free musical instrument learning opportunities for students from poor families and promoting fairness in music education.Chapter Four is the reform of music classroom teaching method in British general schools.In 2003,the Paul Hamlin Foundation initiated and funded the reform of music classroom teaching method,named "musical futures",which is based on the informal teaching method proposed by Lucy green,including informal learning and informal teaching.Students choose their favorite music works and learn by listening and picking music scores repeatedly.Teachers are no longer professors and commanders,but guides.They observe and evaluate students' needs,and give support and guidance at the right time.The reform of music classroom teaching method has subverted the traditional music classroom,stimulated the enthusiasm of middle school students for music,significantly increased the number of students who choose music,and significantly improved their exam scores.Chapter Five is about the teaching reform of music creativity in British general schools.The teaching reform of music creativity takes the artistic creativity reform initiated and funded by the new Labor Party Government in 2002 as the carrier,aiming to promote the development of students' creativity through rich music practice.In the process of implementation,the school establishes cooperation with off campus creative institutions and professional creative people to stimulate students' innovative thinking by creating rich teaching situations.Chapter Six is the characteristics and change of music education reform in British general schools since the 21 st century.Based on the research on singing teaching,instrument teaching,music classroom teaching method,and music creativity teaching reform,this chapter summarizes the characteristics of music education reform in British general schools in the 21 st century,and believes that the music education reform in British general schools since the 21 st century emphasizes fairness.Give consideration to economically impoverished areas and students with special needs;pursue a practical philosophical orientation,cultivate students' abilities in singing,playing,creating,and acting;integrate resources inside and outside the school to build a sound music education ecological environment.Chapter Seven is a review of music education reform in British general schools since the 21 st century.Through the research on singing,musical instrument teaching,music classroom teaching methods,and music creativity teaching reform,we examine the problems in the reform of music education in British general schools in the 21 st century:the sustainability of reforms is highly dependent on government and foundation funding;the main body of the music discipline is ignored Value;most of the cooperation between professional music professionals outside school and school music teachers is a mere formality;lack of management and quality assessment of classroom teaching,and the reform of the curriculum is disorderly.From a diachronic perspective,this paper examines the trend of music education reform in British general schools,which shows as follows: the balance of music education policy from "complete freedom" to "complete unity" to "freedom and unity";The object of music education is from rich family children to music gifted students to all students;The cooperation of music education inside and outside school is from part-time instrumental music teachers to professional composers to the continuous partnership of various forces.
