To promote the diversified and featured development of regular senior secondary schools education is an inevitable requirement to bring out the full potential and improve the quality of running school of regular senior secondary schools education in the new era,and also is an inevitable choice to realize the mission of educating talents for the Chinese Communist Party and the country.The research and practice concerning featured development of regular senior secondary schools have obtained great achievements and accumulated valuable experience in many regions across the country.However,there are still some problems and many gaps in developing high-quality featured senior secondary schools with Chinese characteristics.In particular,there is a lack of theoretical support and innovations in practices in the selection of a path for featured development of schools.The dissertation,starting from the reform and innovation of senior secondary schools in the new era,examine the experience and problems in the process of building and developing China's regular senior secondary schools towards featured schools.In particular,it studies such topics as design,selection and creation in the path for regular senior secondary schools to develop distinctive features,in the hope of helping enrich theories and providing valuable countermeasures and suggestions for features development of China's regular senior secondary schools,especially the path creation practice.Through literature analysis,on the basis of identifying the background,value and ways of thinking for the study,the dissertation systematically analyzes the practical experience in developing distinctive features at regular senior secondary schools in our country and overseas,via empirical surveys in forms of questionnaire and interview,it reveals the main problems on the development path with distinctive features at regular senior secondary schools: a lack of systematic thinking in design of a path,unclear core elements for selection of a path,and inappropriate understanding of the keys to finalizing a path.The three key elements,namely,starting point,process,and goal,which are the most important,are chosen for the selection of a development path with distinctive features at schools;an analysis focusing on 15 featured senior secondary schools in Shanghai is made from the theoretical perspectives of substantialism,process and values of features;and the internal mechanism for creating a path for senior secondary schools to develop their own features is clarified.In the backdrop of the new era,it proposes three main suggestions on creating a path for China's regular senior secondary schools to develop their own features: adapting to the needs of the times and breaking through the dependence on the path;integrating regional governance and collaborating on path innovation;basing on the features of nurturing and enhancing the value of educating people.It remains a long way and arduous task for regular senior secondary schools to develop distinctive features,and path creation and innovation is of crucial importance.Although the dissertation puts forward the research results with certain innovative value,it stills needs to be further deepened and tested in practice.
