University teacher educators are the main force in the development of teachers in basic education in China,the quality of university teacher educators determine the quality of teacher education,which affects and determines the quality of basic education.From the perspective of professional literacy of teacher educators in China,there is a certain gap between the theoretical and practical qualities of teacher educators and the requirements of national teacher education.The construction,development and promotion of the content system of teacher educators’ professional literacy are important issues in the field of teacher education,which have become the theme of this thesis.This study was conducted in a top-down and bottom-up way.We carry out the research from three dimensions,“Premise and basis”,“Hypothesis and test”and“Problem and countermeasure”,which correspond to the six chapters of the article.“Premise and basis” mainly discusses the theoretical premise and realistic basis of research activities,which provides theoretical and practical preparation for the study.“Hypothesis and test” puts forward the theoretical hypothesis of teacher educator’s professional literacy,which is tested by the method of Delphi’s expert consultation,and then we construct the content system of the professional literacy of teacher educator.Based on the content system,“Problems and countermeasures” carry out a questionnaire survey to explore the practical problems of teacher educators’ professional development.Finally,we put forward some specific strategies for the optimization of teacher educators’ professional accomplishment.Through the research,we find that the content system of teacher educators’ professional literacy can be composed by three first-level dimensions,nine second-level dimensions,and twenty-seven third-level dimensions.This content system is mainly developed from three dimensions: professional ethics,professional knowledge and professional ability.Through theoretical decomposition and practical examination of the three dimensions,we finally constructed the content system which is composed of twenty-seven index points.Based on the content system,we conducted a survey and found that the professional literacy of teacher educator in China is generally good,but there are also some problems.Finally,we puts forward some optimization countermeasures from three dimensions: personal practice,school support and national security: In the aspect of personal practice,we mainly refer to self-research,community construction and practical cooperation between university and school to promote the professional development of teacher educators.In the aspect of school support,we mainly refer to the pre-service training,in-service training and school-based teaching research.In the aspect of national security,we mainly refer to the construction of teacher education’s discipline,the guidance of teacher educator’s standard and the guarantee of teacher education’s policy.
