Objectives: To investigate the mechanism of shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side of recurve archers. To reveal the characteristics of shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side in recurve archers. To investigate the effect of corrective exercise on the function of the shoulder on the drawing side of the recurve archers and the degree of influence, and to verify the role of corrective exercise in improving the dysfunction of the shoulder on the drawing side of the recurve archers. Methods: Using the literature method, finite element method, expert questionnaire, test method and experimental method, the shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side of the recurve archers was studied.(1)CT and MRI data of the shoulder of a 23-year-old healthy male were collected to construct a finite element model of the shoulder joint on the drawing side, containing the bony structures of the scapula, clavicle and humerus, and the soft tissues including the rotator cuff muscle group, biceps long head tendon and subacromial bursa. The humerus on the drawing side was simulated to perform lifting, drawing, fixation and releasing in the scapular plane during the archery recurve event, and the stresses in the soft tissues of the shoulder were analysed changes in the soft tissues of the shoulder.(2)A questionnaire survey was conducted by experts to determine the test indicators to detect changes in the motor function of the shoulder on the drawing side of the recurve archer.(3)According to the presence of injury and dysfunction on the drawing side of the recurve archers,25 Hebei recurve archers were divided into two groups to compare the morphological characteristics of the shoulder, the functional characteristics of the shoulder, the specific performance, and the electromyographic changes and kinematic changes of the periapical muscles in the group with shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side and the group with normal shoulders.(4)Combining the possible mechanisms and characteristics of dysfunction on the drawing side of the recurve archers,a corrective exercise program was identified and applied to 19 athletes divided into two groups with shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side, and the results of shoulder test indexes on the drawing side were compared to finally evaluate the effect of corrective exercise.Results:(1)By performing finite element analysis after three-dimensional reconstruction of the humerus, clavicle, scapula and important soft tissues of the shoulder on the pull-around side,it was found that the stresses of the long head tendon of the biceps, subacromial bursa, supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis on that side showed different changes of ascending trend in each of the four key technical movement phases of the reverse arch.(2)The athletes in the shoulder kinematic dysfunction group showed abnormalities in the round shoulder angle, scapular coefficient, lateral scapular slip test, shoulder joint movement angle, muscle strength, upper limb Y-balance test,FMS,SFMA and upper limb Davis test, while the humerus in the lifting phase, opening phase and fixation phase of the kinematic test of the athletes in this group would be in different directions The results of the electromyography tests also reflected a weak resistance to fatigue in the biceps, middle deltoid, posterior deltoid and latissimus dorsi muscles.(3)Through a twelve-week intervention with athletes who had shoulder dysfunction,it was found that compared to the group education group, athletes in the corrective exercise group showed improvements in a number of motor function assessment indicators, including head anterior extension angle and round shoulder angle, scapular coefficient, partial angle of the lateral scapular slip test, shoulder joint flexibility in different directions, muscle strength of most periacetabular muscle groups, upper limb Y-balance test, test scores on the FMS,SFMA and Davis test of the upper limb, kinematic test and electromyographic test results.Conclusion:(1)After combining the kinematic parameters and applying the finite element method to the shoulder on the drawing side, the analysis revealed that the soft tissues around the shoulder on the drawing side show different degrees of stress appearance with the change of humeral position during different phases of the key technical movements of the recurve bow.The accumulation of soft tissue stresses in the shoulder on the pulling side of the archer during the long-term repeated pulling movements may be the biomechanical mechanism that causes the shoulder dysfunction on the pulling side of the archer.(2)By analysing the characteristics of the shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side of the recurve archers,it was found that the athletes in the shoulder dysfunction group showed static shoulder posture, changes in static shoulder scapula posture, insufficient mobility of some joints in the shoulder, weaker muscle strength, insufficient mobility of the humerus on the drawing side in different directions and lower efficiency of some muscles compared to the normal shoulder group, and these changes reflected that the recurve archers These changes are characteristic of the dysfunction of the shoulder on the drawing side of the athlete. These changes, together with the loss of joint co-axiality and muscle imbalance, may also be important causes of shoulder dysfunction in recurve archers.(3)After the corrective exercise intervention for athletes with shoulder dysfunction on the drawing side,it was found that the athletes in the corrective exercise group showed positive changes in all shoulder motor functions and specific performance after the intervention, verifying the effectiveness of the corrective exercise. This suggests that by reducing muscle tone, improving joint flexibility and correcting movement patterns in recurve archers,it is possible to improve the dysfunction characteristics of the shoulder on the drawing side of the recurve;and help recurve archers improve their athletic ability while reducing pain caused by sports injuries.
