Research On The Integration Of Fine Traditinal Chinese Culture Into The Ideological And Political Education Of College Students

The ideological and political education of college students undertakes an important role in cultivating sentiment,shaping personality,sparking off ideas,moistening soul and enlightening wisdom while doing a good job in propaganda and education of mainstream ideology to young college students.According to taking high moral values establishment and people cultivation as the fundamental task of education,the integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into college students'ideological and political education is to fully explore the educational value of the core concept and humanistic spirit in fine traditional Chinese culture,which promoting the creative transformation and systematic integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the ideological and political education of college students.It will enrich and improve the spiritual world and moral personality of college students,and promote the all-round development of college students,so as to strengthen the affinity and effectiveness of the ideological and political education.It also urges the ideological and political education of college students to shoulder the historical mission of cultivating students and consolidating the foundation with culture,so that humanistic concern becomes the basic color and connotation of the ideological and political education of college students.The integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the ideological and political education of college students can not only promote the implementation of the idea of cultivating people by virtue,but also provide a new cultural path for smoothing out its deficiencies in effectiveness and humanity?for solving the problems of insufficient effectiveness and weak humanism of ideological and political education of college students.Under the guidance of Marxism,using the principles of ideological and political education,combined with Xi Jinping's series of important speeches on the inheritance and development of traditional culture and on ideological and political education,this research adopts the methods of literature research,comparative analysis,systematic analysis,the unity of logic and history.Taking the realistic demand of integrating fine traditional Chinese culture into the practice of ideological and political education as the starting point,in the context of the new era,in view of "why to integrate ","what is the premise of integration ","what content" and "how to integrate",this study analyzes the premise and main contents of the integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the ideological and political education of college students,how to integrate into the subject and object of ideological and political education of college students,in order to improve the ability of the subject and promote the personality improvement of the object,and to explore the important path of the integration of fine traditional Chinese culture.The basic premise for an effective integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the ideological and political education of college students is to transform fine traditional Chinese culture creatively.The study introduces a narrower definition of fine traditional Chinese culture,which includes the positive ideology,excellent moral concepts,and the enterprising spirit of the Chinese people.The so-called creative transformation,guided by Marxism,led by the Communist Party of China,and based on current circumstances in light of globalization,is to critically inherit the essence of traditional culture and integrate it into the present exercise of living and refresh it with the content of the new times,thus constructing a new socialist culture with Chinese characteristics that facilitates the comprehensive development of human beings and the harmonious development of society.The basic principles of integrating fine traditional Chinese culture into college students'ideological and political education mainly include five dimensions:adhering to the guidance of Marxism,following a student-centered approach,adhering to a practice-oriented philosophy,treating tradition scientifically and having international vision.The content is the core element and key factor in the ideological and political education system.It is what the educational subject conveys to the receivers that determines the quality and effect of ideological and political education.The content of ideological and political education bridges the educator and the education receiver,acting as a medium for thoughts exchange between the two sides.From the view of cultural education,in order to promote the high-quality development of ideological and political education for college students in the new era,it is necessary to be rooted in the soil of fine traditional Chinese culture to draw on its ideological contents,spiritual resources,and profound connotations in cultivating people with culture,reinforcing vitality and fostering morality.A key part in the ideological and political education is the consolidation of students'confidence in the nation's path,theory,system and culture,and above all their confidence in Chinese culture,so as to train college students not only to become the builders and creators of social culture with Chinese characteristics,but also to become the propagandists and communicators of fine traditional Chinese culture.With over five thousand years of civilization,the Chinese nation possesses an enormously rich and profound traditional culture,which acts as a provider of abundant cultural elements,rich ideological heritage and far-reaching spiritual strength for the ideological and political education among college students.The main spiritual characteristics of fine traditional Chinese culture are as follows:(1)the enterprising spirit of self-reliance and perseverance;(2)the inclusive spirit of self-discipline and social commitment;(3)the unity concept of justice and benefit;(4)the living spirit of moderation and harmony;(5)the ethical spirit of benevolence,righteousness,propriety,wisdom and trust.In order to help college students better guide college students to understand,recognize,acknowledge and practise the core socialist values,this study draws on the seven aspects of "benevolence,people-oriented,integrity,justice,harmonious ideal,Great Harmony,the ritual and musical system" in the excellent traditional Chinese culture,and further discusses how to cultivate the core socialist values.In the system of ideological and political education,the principal subject of ideological and political education plays a leading and guiding role in the whole educational practice.The study adopts a narrower definition of subject in the ideological and political education of college students,which refers to the directly engaged in ideological and political education,mainly including teachers of ideological and political theory courses in colleges,cadres of the Communist Youth League and student counselors.The principal education subject regulates and constructs the educational scenes for the educators by determining,collecting,arranging,constructing,transforming,representing and transmitting the content of ideological and political education,and adjusts and controls the whole process of ideological and political education.It determines who should receive the education,what content should be delivered,and how to effectively deliver the content,which directly influences the approach,method,and effectiveness of the ideological and political education among college students.The integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the subject of ideological and political education of college students is to vigorously upgrade educators' capability and level of the teaching transmission and educational guidance,to fully elaborate their initiative,motivation,and creativity,and to improve their humanistic awareness,cultural accomplishments,and moral integrity with the spiritual resources of Chinese excellent tradition.This way,the ideological and political education can be enhanced humanistically,culturally,and morally to truly ground the philosophy of fostering virtue through morality-oriented education and then demonstrate the power of ideological persuasion,cultural attraction and leading in value guidance.This section draws on six views from fine traditional Chinese culture,namely " to concentrate on career intensely,to stick to the right direction,to aspire after and show interest in Tao,to act on morality,to resort to benevolence,and to practise with skills"."To concentrate on career intensely" requires the subject of education to fix their attention to enhance the impetus of ideological and political education among college students,that is,let those specialized in ideological and political education practice the instruction;"to stick to the right direction" demands the subject to keep ideological and political education to the set course and strengthening the grasp on it,that is,let those in possession of ideological beliefs control the direction;" to aspire after and show interest in Tao" requires the subject to gain true submission by offering convincing arguments and to enhance the persuasion of ideological and political education,that is,let those who have a theoretical pursuit talk about ideology;"to act on morality" requests the subject to strengthen moral education and improve the appeal of ideological and political education,that is,let those who persevere moral standard talk about merits;"to resort to benevolence" requires the subject of education in the practice of ideological and political education to close to life,that is,let those who have a high sense of benevolence to pass on love;"to practise with skills" requests the subject to upgrade professional skills and enhance creativity,that is,let the professionals do their job.The integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the object of ideological and political education is to encourage initiative and enthusiasm of college students in learning,perceiving,comprehending,and practicing the philosophy of Chinese fine traditions.The integration into the education object is mainly described in the following four links:"learn the Tao to attain the true understanding","know the Tao to cultivate temperament","obtain the Tao to improve morality",and"practise the Tao to transform the world".For college students,to learn the Tao to attain understanding is to study fine traditional Chinese culture by means of reading up classics,concentrating on crucial points,delving deep into their thoughts,and applying ideas to application;to know the Tao to cultivate temperament is to perceive and internalize socialist core values in their minds with the spiritual resources of Chinese fine traditions to rectify their behavior and foster a scientific view on the world and values;to obtain the Tao to improve morality is to constantly cultivate personality with Chinese national spirit as the base,Chinese traditional ideology as the foundation,Chinese traditional virtues as the nourishment,and socialist core values as the norm of conduct;to practise the Tao to transform the world is to abide by morality in everyday life and be a down-to-earth,well-behaved,and well-grounded person.The above four links are interrelated and progressively related in the sense that one learns the Tao to know the Tao,and then to obtain the Tao and afterwards to practise the Tao.Only then will an effective integration into the object be completed.This is also to give correct guidance to young college students in the new era to stick to the position of Chinese culture,arouse Chinese culture consciousness and strengthen their confidence in Chinese culture.Constructing the important path of integrating fine traditional Chinese culture into the ideological and political education of college students can effectively improve and optimize the overall cultural environment of ideological and political education,and better help college students to comprehend the spirit of fine traditional Chinese culture,reinforce coordination in educating young minds,and promote the realization of cultural education.The present study proposes four pathways for the all-encompassing and all-inclusive integration,namely integration into management and service,integration into the construction of campus culture,integration into the courses of political theories,and integration into the students' social practice.The integration of fine traditional Chinese culture into the ideological and political education among college students is a diachronic and systematic endeavor,and a cultural practice as well.The fundamental goal of the integration is to enhance the cultural attributes,effectiveness,appealing,and attraction of ideological and political education,thus facilitating the free and comprehensive development of college students.The ideological and political education among college students should be guided by Marxism and Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and make the most out of the spiritual resources of Chinese excellent traditions,in order to highlight the Chinese style,national identity and cultural characteristics of socialist universities,actively propel the inheritance and innovation of Chinese traditional culture,and cultivate new generations for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
