| The education of university values is an important part of Ideological and political education and an inevitable requirement for higher education to implement the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and cultivating people".How to organically combine the education of values theory with the cultivation of values behavior,how to successfully transmit the social leading value orientation and be full of inspiration to achieve the effect of lifelong education,and how to improve the education system combining explicit education and implicit education are the major problems to be solved in the current value education of Chinese universities.General secretary Xi Jinping pointed out:"we emphasize the promotion of socialist core values,inherit and carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture,uphold and carry forward the Chinese spirit,do not exclude learning from the world’s outstanding cultural achievements",and adhere to China’s position to carry out the study of differences in values education between China and the United States.It is of great practical significance to promote the development of values education in China’s universities to judge the usability through value comparison and to seek reference through the comparison of operation process.This research is based on the principle of "taking me as the main body and taking everything into consideration".It adheres to the guidance of Marxist ideological theory,takes the class analysis method as a powerful weapon to rationally understand the essential differences of values between Chinese and American universities,and takes the method of contradiction analysis as the fundamental method to comprehensively and objectively grasp the law of value education,and uses the method of literature analysis,comparative analysis,and the unity of history and logic This paper systematically analyzes the differences in the development process,theoretical basis,educational content,and educational methods between Chinese and American universities in terms of development process,theoretical basis,educational content and educational methods,so as to provide reference and Enlightenment for the value education in Chinese universities.Through the comparison of connotation and extension,this paper clarifies the "three basic concept relations",and clarifies the "unification" and "division" of the concept of value education in Chinese and American universities,which provides the conditions for discourse transformation for the follow-up study of differences.Through the analysis of the differences,we find that the differences in social systems determine the differences in the fundamental attributes of "people-centered" and "capital driven" values education between China and the United States,which requires us to adhere to the ideological attribute of value education and take the path of university value education with Chinese characteristics.American universities pay attention to the education methods of implicit infiltration and enlightening dialogue,recognize the value experiences and pay attention to the generation of wisdom,and cultivate students’ value rationality and judgment ability,which has certain methodological significance for China’s University value education.This paper puts forward that the content of university values education should be divided into three levels:core content,basic content and developmental content,so that the value education not only has the core values as the hard core of ideological attributes,but also has hierarchy and extensibility.In the education of university values,we should deal with the relationship between ideology and science,value teaching and value construction,hierarchy and progression,unitary value orientation and coexistence of multiple values.We should strengthen the cultivation of value rationality and critical spirit in the dimension of value education content,pay attention to the cultural cultivation of values education in the dimension of education approach,and pay attention to the education of values in the dimension of education methods At the same time,we should use a variety of enlightening education methods to improve teachers’ ethics and ability of education in the dimension of education subject,and build a constructive relationship between teachers and students. |
