Youth Outlook On Happiness And Its Education In A New Era

Happiness is the eternal pursuit of mankind.The view on happiness is an important issue in the outlook on life.The youth is the emerging force of society who represents the future orientation,so that youth outlook on happiness in a new era not only effects young individual's personal well-being,but also influences the country fortune.The reasonable view on happiness guides young people achieve a good life through serving society and shouldering historic mission of realizing the Chinese Dream in a new era.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the youth outlook on happiness and its education in a new era.In a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,young people are facing both opportunities and challenges.In this case,their view on happiness presents positive attitude as well as erroneous opinions.The deviation of the youth outlook on happiness even leads to social conflicts when it causes misconducts in pursuing happiness among young people.Therefore,the youth in a new era need to rely on the guidance of happiness education to correct their erroneous opinions on happiness and establish a reasonable outlook.Based on literally reviewing the history of ‘happiness' theories,this study explores the reasonable youth outlook on happiness in the position of a new era.According to the result of the empirical study,this dissertation shows the existing reality of the youth outlook on happiness nowadays.After analyzing the causes of the youngster's outlook deviation on happiness,the author tries to explore the effective educational approach in building youth reasonable outlook on happiness.This dissertation proposes that happiness is not merely the joy experience by the hedonics,nor is it an abstract idea in soul by the idealists.It is the value goal that is key to “what kind of happiness should be pursued in self-realizing”.Therefore,the value the youth pursue in a new era is the core of their outlook on happiness.this dissertation is divided into five parts,including: introduction,study on theoretical resources of happiness,theoretical construction of youth outlook on happiness in a new era,empirical study on youth outlook on happiness in a new era,analyzing problems of youth outlook on happiness in a new era and exploring effective educational approach in it.Reviewing theoretical literatures about ideas of happiness is the basis for the study on youth outlook on happiness in a new era.Theories of happiness in the western cultural background provide a broad horizon on this topic.And,theories of happiness in Chinese traditional culture are culture genes of the youth outlook on happiness in modern times.In addition,the outlook on happiness in Marxism sets a basic position for youth outlook on happiness study.Exploring "What kind of outlook on happiness should young people have in a new era" is the core of this study.The expected youth outlook on happiness is determined by the characteristics of the youth,the social background in a new era and the mainstream value goal in a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.First,the formation of the youth outlook on happiness is related to its own physical,mental and social characteristics of its age.Second,the youth outlook on happiness is influenced by the development orientation of the society.Therefore,exploring the social historical characters of the new era is important for this study.Moreover,the core of the youth outlook on happiness is the values it pursues.Therefore,the key of studying the youth outlook on happiness in a new era is to explore the value goal that it should point to.Based on the need of well-rounded human development and socialist core values,this dissertation holds that the reasonable youth outlook on happiness in a new era should include: keeping physical and mental health,improving both material well-being and spiritual well-being,realizing oneself through hard working,having good relationship in family,serving the society and country.According to the systematically empirical study on the reality of the youth outlook on happiness in a new era.The result shows that,in general,the youth outlook on happiness presents a positive trend of self-actualization.However,there is a certain degree of deviation in the youth outlook on happiness as well,including: the negative attitude towards happiness actualization,the hedonistic tendency of the youth outlook on happiness,and the paradox of knowledge and behavior in practice.The causes leading to the existing problems of youth outlook on happiness include: the overflow of the market economy value,the conflict of ethical concepts in transitional society,the impact of multiculturalism,and the contradiction between the youth's own expectations and abilities.Happiness education is an effective way to correct the deviation of youth outlook on happiness and help young people establish a reasonable outlook on happiness.Based on the existing problems of the youth outlook on happiness in a new era,this study attempts to explore the effective educational approach to help the youth establish reasonable outlook on happiness in a new era.Thus,the author proposes that the curriculum teaching and practical activities should be good choice to optimize the educational path of youth outlook on happiness in a new era.
