Ideology plays an indispensable role in seizing power by every revolutionary party and maintaining power by every ruling party.The essence of the current dispute over the discourse power in society is to compete for ideological discourse power.Therefore,the ruling party must firmly hold ideological leadership,management and discourse power in its own hands,and cannot slacken off at any time.General Secretary Xi Jinping had fully realized that ideological work is related to the future and destiny of the Party,the long-term stability of the country,national cohesion and centripetal force.He stresses that ideological work should be taken as an extremely important work of the Party.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of important thoughts and claims on the motivations,contents and measures on strengthening the Party's ideological work,profoundly clarifying the major theoretical and practical issues of ideological work in the new era.General Secretary Xi Jinping has made concrete arrangements from the strategic stance in many aspects,including propaganda and ideological work,literature and art work,Party school,philosophy and social science,Party news and public opinion,network security and information technology,and ideological and political work in colleges and universities.The once passive situation in the ideological field has been fundamentally reversed and the basic experience of “Nine insistence” has been formed.This indicates that Xi Jinping's thought of ideological discourse power has formed a relatively complete ideological system.The socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and the importance of the party's ideological work has become more functions of Marxist ideology discourse power and dissects the significance of Xi Jinping's thought of ideological discourse power.The study believes that in contemporary China,Marxist ideology discourse power is to spread Marxism to the masses of the people through education guidance,public opinion propaganda,cultural influence,practice and cultivation by Chinese Communist Party.In this way,people can agree with the Marxist theory and the leadership of Communist Party of China,and be willing to follow the Chinese Communist Party to pursue the country's prosperity,national rejuvenation and people's happiness.Marxist ideological discourse power has the characteristics of distinct class nature,high scientificity,remarkable people's character,outstanding practicality,strong timelines,and inherent regularity.Also,it has several functions,including the promotion of political leadership of political parties,promotion of social and cultural governance,improving people's ideological leadership,improving the ability of critical thinking and enhancing the shaping of the country's image.General Secretary Xi Jinping has focused on the fundamental issue of ideological discourse power in the new era,namely,the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the leadership of the Communist Party of China.He has put forward many new
