Wang Hong-zhuan(1622-1702 A.D.)was a famous adherent of Ming Dynasty in the Guan zhong area in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. He was praised as "the leader of the scholar-bureaucrat in Guan zhong" by Gu Yan-wu.In Wang Hong-zhuan's life, there were two major events that had a profound impact on him.One was the dynasty alternation from Ming to Qing, which made him lose his homeland and dissipated his desire for official advancement. The other was the erudite examination in the seventeenth year of Kangxi,he was forced to take the examination. The Qing Court used a policy of coercion to compel him to change his will to become an official.Between advance and retreat,Wang Hong-zhuan resolutely selected to live in seclusion, adhered to the integrity of the Ming loyalists, thus obtained the scholars' unanimous praise.Wang Hong-zhuan refused to be an official in Qing Dynasty,so he adopted a lifestyle of traveling.During his life,he traveled all over the country and made friends with a large number of famous people at that time.It not only made his name widely known, but also connected the Guan zhong area with the outside world and built a bridge for the cultural exchange between the North and the South. This subject is a case study from the perspective of regional literature research.Wang Hong-zhuan,as the "leader of the scholar-bureaucrat in Guan zhong",is also a typical representative of the Ming loyalists. The changing from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty made his life trajectory, hermit mentality and literary creation be marked by the Times.Based on the nature of man and the world as the basic principle, adopt the method of literature description combined with historical textual research,to make a comprehensive investigation of Wang Hong-zhuan's family background, life, friends and writings,so as to show the survival state and mind course of the Ming loyalists. It provides a vivid individual case for the study of the Ming loyalists and the study of Guan zhong regional literature in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The thesis is divided into the top and the bottom, the top(chapter one to chapter two)is about the textual research of Wang Hong-zhuan's life and his friends. The first chapter is a biographical study. It mainly takes Zhao Li-sheng's "the Chronological Biography of Wang Shan-shi" as a reference,to correct the errors in the genealogy and make up for the missing points, trying to clarify Wang Hong-zhuan's life deeds and show his friends and living conditions. The second chapter is about Wang Hong-zhuan's friends. He traveled extensively throughout his life. After the fall of the Ming Dynasty,he went to the capital four times,to the regions south of the Yangtze River five times, and to the south of the Five Ridges one time.In Guan zhong,he also traveled to Xi'an,Yan'an,San-yuan,Fu-ping and other places.During his long roaming life,he made many like-minded friends, such as the imperial clan of Ming Dynasty, officials of the Qing Court, gentry in the countryside, adherents, hermits and so on.In the process of communication, they may exchange their deep feelings for the motherland of Ming Dynasty,or exchange poetry and literature with each other,or enjoy calligraphy and painting,or have banquets and share the joy of friends. With his deep family roots, his commitment to his friends, his unbiased approach to learning, his adherence to the temperament of the Ming legacy, and his extensive travels to liaise with the voices of the north and the south,Wang Hong-zhuan not only gained the sincere friendship of his friends, but also made himself famous and became "the leader of the scholar-bureaucrat in Guan zhong",and promoted the cultural exchange and integration of the south and the north. The other part(chapter three to chapter six)is about the textual study of Wang Hong-zhuan's writings.During Wang Hong-zhuan's life,he wrote a wealth of books, covering different aspects of Confucian classics, history,Zi Radical and literature. This part makes a comprehensive survey of his existing works, and gives a detailed description in the completion and edition of each book,in order to make readers understand Wang Hong-zhuan's creation. In addition,Wang Hong-zhuan versed in poetry, however, due to the absence of his poetry collection, there is little research on his poetry creation in the academic circle. In the sixth chapter,we analyze the contents, creative features and artistic achievements of his poetry Dai'an collection,a copy of Qing Dynasty which discovers in Xi'an Forest of Stone Steles Museum,so that the academic circle can make a proper position for his poems.Through the investigation of Wang Hong-zhuan's family history, life history, social interactions and writings,we believe that his life trace shows the life and living state of the Ming Dynasty's heritages in the early Qing Dynasty, which is of benefit to the study of the regional literature of the Guan zhong and the study of the Ming Dynasty's heritages.
