To address a number of remaining questions in the studies of Odsor, this thesis would like to employ textual analysis to reinterpret Odsor's novel and enrich the research fields of the studies on the works of Mongolian authors. The paper is in five sections: introduction, main body(chapters 1–3),conclusion,bibliography,and appendices. The introduction chapter discusses the rationale for topic selection, purpose of the study, the significance of the research, literature review, and the research methods applied in this study. The Chapter One examines a wide range of intertextual phenomena in the Odsor's novel through the lens of intertextuality analysis. The study reflects on self-referential intertextuality, intertextuality with Chinese literature, and intertextuality with subsequent literature, and delves into the intricate composition of Odsor's novel text and its effect on future generations. The first section specifically presents the self-referential phenomenon from the perspective of plot development, character portrait, and character replication. In the second section, taking Odsor's "Pearl-Scattered Prairie" and "History of Entrepreneurship" as typical cases demonstrated intertextual relationship between these two works from the following ways: the structure of the storyline, the description of natural environments and the shaping of the characters. The third section focuses on the intertextuality between Odsor's novel and Sarentoya's "The Faraway War Horse" from the three perspectives:the plot's intertextuality, the characters' intertextuality, and the scenery description's intertextuality. In the Chapter Two,the thesis analyses the changes in three types of text transfers in Odsor's novels from a comparative literature perspective by investigating the phenomenon of Odsor's novels being adapted into different art forms: movies,Huren Uliger and comic strips. The first section explores the process of changing from a scripted novel to a movie by taking "Knight's Honor" as an example to illustrate the changes of art form, image transcoding and space conversion. Then the thesis explores Huren Lig's "Song of Alas" from an increase and decrease in content,a contrast of cultural perceptions, and differences of the character image. In the third section, the comic book "The Knight's Story" is analysed from three facets: the adaptation of the comic book script, the change of art form and the comparison of different scripts. The Chapter Three investigates the occurrence of Odsor's novel creation through the lens of textual genetics. This thesis studies the creation of the novel "Song of the Cavalry" based on the creation and research of the "pretext" of Odsor's novel and manuscript revision. The first section discusses the creation and research of the "pre-text" of "Song of Cavalry" from the aspects of the writer's own life experience and the reference to works of similar themes and other themes. The second section explores the creation process of "Song of Cavalry" from two aspects: works of similar themes created by authors and manuscript revision issues. The conclusion summarizes the viewpoints stated in the thesis, and puts forward some prospects for the research on Odsor's novels.Although some achievements have been made in the research of Odsor, there are still research fields to be developed: for example, the study of Odsor's film literature, the study of translation and introduction of Odsor's works, and the study of the version of Odsor's novels.
