Realism occupies a major position in the field of Chinese art creation in the 20 th century.The authenticity and typicality emphasized by realism reflect the practical life and real landscape of Chinese society,resulting in many works of art that are close to real life and reflect social style.In the history of Chinese painting in the 20 th century,realism is undoubtedly an important topic in the transition from traditional forms to modern forms.On the one hand,it requires that the emotional expression of focusing on oneself and being far from reality under the influence of traditional literati paintings be transformed into a mindset of joining the world that pays attention to real life and faces the public;on the other hand,it requires attention to the expression of painting language.The image modeling concepts of "God" and "Rhyme" gradually merged with Western realistic techniques to develop and improve the ability of Chinese painting to express reality and shape body.As a famous contemporary Chinese realist painter,art educator,and art activist,Wang Shenglie started from many aspects,actively participated in and promoted the artistic creation and development of realist Chinese painting in the new era,and led and strengthened the gradual development since the founding of the People's Republic of China with practical actions.The mature Kanto school of painting with realism as its banner changed the new pattern of Northeast regional painting school in art history.Wang Shenglie used his unique artistic language to create many highly realistic and typical images derived from life,and made important contributions to the practice of realistic Chinese painting figure painting.The thesis takes Wang Shenglie's realism art,especially for his realism Chinese painting figure painting art creation,as the main research object.Through objective analysis and research on Wang Shenglie's paintings,he combines the social background,geographical environment and personal experience of his creation period.,To form a more systematic and in-depth understanding of Wang Shenglie's realism painting art,and through research,expound the new meaning of realism in the contemporary art context.The thesis is composed of five parts: The introduction is the first part,which mainly elaborates the research object,research significance,main problems and research methods of the research.The second part is the first chapter,starting from the objective historical trajectory,that is,Wang Shenglie's social environment and background of the times,combined with his subjective motivations,to investigate the life and historical facts of Wang Shenglie's realistic painting art.The third part is the second and third chapters,focusing on his realism Chinese painting figure painting works.Taking his representative work "Eight Women into the River" as the research starting point,it comprehensively sorts out and summarizes the subject types of his realism Chinese painting figure painting creation,Expounding the internal motivation of his artistic creation,and then going deep into the discussion of the artistic expression of his realistic Chinese painting.The fourth part is the fourth chapter.It outlines the art practice activities that Wang Shenglie participated in in various periods,and explores his contribution and influence to the development of realistic Chinese painting as an art educator and art activist.The fifth part is the fifth chapter,combined with the analysis and research of the above four parts,to form an objective and systematic cognition of Wang Shenglie's realist artistic creation,explain his artistic proposition and obtain enlightenment beneficial to the development of contemporary Chinese painting.Clarifying the concept of realism creation still has practical significance for current art creation.
