A Study Of Lu Ruoteng,a Kinmen Poet In Nanming

Lu,Ruo-Teng(1600-1664),has a name Xian-Zhi,also called Mu-Zhou,Liu-An,Si-Liu-Ju-Shi,born in Tongan County of Fujian province(now Kinmen),as Jinshi in1640 and as governor of Wen,Chu,Ning and Tai during Nanming Tang Dynasty.The king of Tang defeated and went to Wu-Zhou,and he followed Zheng Chenggong to conduct Anti Fuming campaign;he interacted with the subordinate members of the King Lu.Zheng successfully conquered the Taiwan,Lu Ruo Teng went to Peng-Hu,and died of illness.There are some works left,such as " Liu-An Poems and Anthology".Lin Shu-Mei,in Qing Wu-Zhou,has gotten fifteen volumes of the " Liu-An Poems and Anthology",but only 12 volumes of it found in cross-strait publications in the past few decades,the research of comparison and corrections on the thirteenth to fifteenth volumes,which was copied by grandson,Lu Xu-Wu and kept in the Fujian Provincial Library,is important and meaningful.Among them,the text of autobiography for Tsai,Tao-Hsien also provided us with many very precious historical materials.The " Liu-An Poems and Anthology" reflects the complex and turbulent social reality during from the dynasty of the late Chongzhen to Nanming.It has many reports and reflections on the activities of Zheng Chenggong and King Lu in Kinmen.King Lu has gathered a group of well-known poets,such as Zhang Huangyan,Shen Guangwen,Xu Fuyuan,Wang Zhongxiao,etc.,which are all the friends of Lu Ruo-Teng.The study on this poetry group makes up for the lack of research in Nanming literature.Lu Ruo-Teng’s poems paid much attention to the hardships of the Zheng’s army crossing the Strait,and expressed dissatisfaction with the corruption of the military discipline,which makes up the lack of histry information.At that time of the sharp changes of social situation,Lu Ruo-Teng’s poetry expressed a strong concern for the social and people’s situation,and changed the poetry style of the late Ming Dynasty,such as Jingling,Gong-An,and Min-Zhong,and expressed the anger and sigh in the poet’s mind.His poems use the archaic style,especially the seven-words style,to fully take advantage of the convenience and freedomof narrative in the characteristics of the ancient poetry,to adapt to his times and form the characteristics of his own poetry.During the Nanming period,the poets,such as Lu Ruo-Teng,spreaded the Chinese traditional literature to Taiwan,which opened the prosperity of Taiwan literature.There are five appendix : First,the collection of the Lu Ruo-Teng’s poems and essays;Second,the correcton of several important articles of Lu’s;Third,Lu Ruo-Teng’s family pedigree;Fourth,Lu Ruo-Teng’s chronology;Fifth,field survey photos(colony,home,stone carving,tomb,Ancestor memorial tablet,poetry related to the sights of mountains and rivers,etc.)...
