The Philosophy Of Yangqi Sect

Yangqi Sect that becomes one of the indivisible parts of the ancient Chinese philosophy has played a very important role in the development of Buddhism in the Chinese history.As indicated previous studies,it gives rise to concern about the understandings of the Buddhist doctrines.However,It has been,to a large extent,neglected from the perspective of the Chinese philosophy.The paper conducts the individual case studies of five Chan masters of Yangqi Sect,including Yangqi-Fanghui,Baiyun-Shouduan,Wuzu-Fayan,Yuanwu-Keqin,and Huqiu-Shaolong.Based on their philosophical thoughts,this paper suggests the whole framework of the philosophy of Yangqi Sect with the analyzing principles of neutrality and the simulated reconfiguration.
