Beginning in the 1980s,the change in traditional design patterns and the rise of post-modern design trends in digital technology, typically represented by computers, have caused contemporary poster design to exhibit a diversified development attitude under the impact of new media technologies. As a platform for design exchange and mutual learning in the field of international graphic design, the China International Poster Biennale(CIPB)embodies the profound influence of post-modern design trends on contemporary poster design. The important China International Poster Biennial, born in the context of new technologies, not only witnessed the advancement of media technology, but also became an important field of visual narrative changes in contemporary poster design. The analysis of the development and evolution of the visual narrative of the works of the China International Poster Biennale starts from the interpretation of poster design at the cognitive logic, strategic level and value level, which are carried out at the cognitive level, strategic level and value level. The cognitive level is the basis for poster interpretation, and the cognitive conditions for how the visual symbols in the poster can be converted into meaning and visual decoding;the strategic level is the method and path to solve the poster's visual language construction, including from presentation techniques to visual narrative forms The design method and strategy;the value level can be understood as the development and ultimate purpose of the cognitive level and the strategic level.Through a macro-level observation of the previous China International Poster Biennale, the visual narrative of East and West posters is not a single-style imitation and continuation, but the mutual adherence to nationalization and local consciousness has become the mainstream and is responsible for conveying national culture At the same time as the traditional responsibility,it also has the function of coordinating relations with foreign cultures. In the context of cultural globalization, the visual language of contemporary poster design is represented by the differentiated representation of the design and becomes the main theme of the poster 's visual narrative, presenting an aesthetic experience ranging from a single function to diversity, from one yuan to multiple, from standardization to individualization Changes, presenting a rich visual picture of contemporary poster design. From a micro perspective, visual narrative is in a dynamic process where various forms and styles are intertwined. The transformation of digital technology has broken through the limitation of visual language performance, not limited to the reproducibility of figurative morphological figures and a single spatial order and natural structure mode, but has expanded a rich combination and expression mode, with a rich and diverse visual structure And spatial characteristics, visual language forms and symbolic meanings present an expressive and combinative visual exploration. On the other hand, this transformation also implies that the visual language expression of contemporary posters,on the basis of transmitting ideas and information,is more and more showing that it meets the purpose of utilitarianism and practicality, and is more inclined to aesthetic style and form.Pay attention. At the same time, the text elements in the poster design became independent narrative content, and the role of the text gradually changed to the "main cause" status of visual representation, from the back row of the visual representation to the front row.On the one hand,it is a micro-textualization in the context of the transformation of contemporary visual culture, which helps to grasp the contemporary characteristics of the development of poster design. The historical evolution research provides supporting evidence.
