| The relationship between Buddhism and literature has always been the focus of academic attention.The evolution of poetry in the middle and late Tang Dynasty is also an important part of the study of literature in the Tang Dynasty.To a large extent,the evolution of poetry in the middle and late Tang Dynasty is closely related to the development of Buddhism in this period.This paper intends to make a close reading on the text,Taking Bai Juyi,the representative poet in the middle and late Tang Dynasty,as the research object,Investigate Bai Juyi’s experience of studying Buddha and reading experience of the Buddhist sutras,and explore his acceptance path and style of Buddhism.On this basis,Study the Buddhist acceptance experience and religious practice reflected in Bai Juyi’s poetry.In the end,we will Identify the relationship between the creation of poetry and the behavior of learning Buddha.The full text consists of three parts: introduction,the main part of the text and conclusion.The introduction part identifies the reasons for choosing this topic and combs the research status of this topic in academic circles.At the same time,it outlines the research ideas and methods of this paper.the main part of the text consists of eight chapters.The first chapter aims at discerning the reason.It combs the external causes of the Buddhist context and explores the internal causes of Bai Juyi’s personal experience.The second chapter comprehensively discusses the religious practice of Zen and Pure Land of Bai Juyi.It is divided into two sections.The first section not only analyses the Zen beliefs of Bai Juyi,but also combs his Zen practice of meditation.The second section not only analyses Bai Juyi’s beliefs in Medha and Maitreya,but also combs the specific ways of his Pure Land practice,such as chanting Buddha in name,releasing life,building Bajie beach and offering alms to others.The third section uses statistical methods to analyze the specific characteristics of Bai Juyi’s Zen and Pure Land Sect practice.The third chapter not only combs the situation of Bai Juyi’s reading of Buddhist sutras,but also reveals the importance of classical reading in settling the mind and shaping creative thinking.It is discussed in four sections.The first section is an overview of Bai Juyi’s reading of Buddhist sutras.It combs the Buddhist sutras mentioned in Bai Juyi’s poetry collection and investigates the use of vocabulary of Buddhist sutras,Buddha classics and Buddhist metaphors in Bai Juyi’s poetry.The second section examines the Toutuo Sutra which read by Bai Juyi and point out that there are two possibilities the Toutuo Sutra.one is “Buddha talk about the Toutuo Sutra to Bodhisattva Xinwang”,and the other one is “Buddha talk about Twelve Toutuo Sutra”.The third section examines the influence of Vimalakirti on Bai Juyi,which mainly includes three aspects: the creation of Bai Juyi’s image,the imaginary world of Bai Juyi’s poetry and Bai Juyi’s “Buer” thinking method.The fourth section examines the influence of the medieval and dreamlike views of the Diamond Sutra on Bai Juyi’s poetry.The fourth and fifth chapter examine the influence of Buddhist ways of thinking on Bai Juyi’s poetry creation.Chapter fourth analyses the influence of impermanence on Bai Juyi’s poetry creation.It consists of two sections,which respectively examine the impermanence of Bai Juyi’s poetry containing the average is all done,the high is also awkward.The fifth chapter analyses the influence of empty concept on Bai Juyi’s poetry creation.It consists of two sections.The first section examines the method of Bai Juyi’s empty view.The second section examines the color-writing method and the creative intention of observing emptiness through objects of “The Song of Everlasting Sorrow” in the perspective of the empty view.The sixth and seventh chapters take a thematic analysis of Bai Juyi’s Poems.The sixth chapter takes Buddhist Temple poems as the starting point,inspects one aspect of Bai Juyi’s Buddhist poetry creation.It is discussed in three sections.The first section analyses the secular feelings of Bai Juyi’s Buddhist Temple poems,mainly including official career and leisure life.The second section analyses Bai Juyi’s feelings of transcending from the world of Bai Juyi’s Buddhist Temple poems.which mainly includes three aspects:firstly,Buddhist temple is Bai Juyi’s temporary residence far from the secular world;secondly,Buddhist temple is Bai Juyi’s reliance when he experiences life changes;thirdly,Buddhist temple is the ultimate convert of Bai Juyi.The seventh chapter focuses on the content and intention of Bai Juyi’s parting poems.There are two sections.The first section combs Bai Juyi’s parting poems,mainly including the parting of brothers,husbands and wives,lovers and friends.The second section examines Bai Juyi’s creative intention of leaving poems.Bai Juyi interprets the bitterness of leaving love through the sadness of leaving.Chapter eighth examines the specific influence of Buddhism on Bai Juyi’s poetry image.Taking Bai Juyi’s Guqin poems as the research object to analyse the evolution of the image connotation of “qin”.It is discussed in three sections.The first section briefly introduces the relationship between Bai Juyi and Guqin.The second section analyses the image of “literati qin” in Bai Juyi’s Guqin poems,which mainly includes two aspects: joining the world and being good at himself;the third section analyses the image of “Jushiqin” in Bai Juyi’s Guqin poems,which symbolizes Bai Juyi’s Buddhist aspiration to transcend the world,mainly embodied in the two aspects of offensive Qin and participating in Zen,stringess Qin and Enlightenment of Taoism. |
