This paper studies the philosophical aspects of A Dream of Red Mansions, and consciously combines Zhuangtsu and A Dream of Red Mansions with the demeanor of famous scholars in the Wei and Jin dynasties.Among them,Zhuangtsu is the ideological foundation, and the demeanor in the Wei and Jin dynasties is the first attempt of famous scholars to use Zhuangtsu's philosophical thoughts to guide their real life. However, the Dream of the Red Chamber explores the philosophy of life in the form of a novel. What is hidden under the surface of family ups and downs, marriage and love tragedies, etc.,is the protagonist Jia Baoyu's hard thinking about the essence of life. The whole Dream of the Red Chamber is the process of Baoyu's searching for himself, pursuing the ideal value of "I" and the meaning of "I".Prodromes part of the paper analyzes the necessity of theoretical research on A Dream of Red Mansions, points out the existing redology research because of deficiency, and from two aspects of "principles" and "ode" analysis of the value of A Dream of Red Mansions, which shows that it not only has literary value and aesthetic value,in the aspect of philosophy also has certain research value. The novel reflects the deep thinking about the value of life and the meaning of life, which is of great academic value. In the first chapter, aiming at the relationship between A Dream of Red Mansions and Zhuangtsu, the author firstly makes a direct text analysis to find the direct or indirect description of zhuangzi in the novel.Secondly, from the perspective of literary creation and aesthetics, this paper analyzes the relationship between "don't be funny" in A Dream of Red Mansions and "three words" in Zhuangtsu. In the second chapter, based on the relationship between the "real person" image in the Dream of Red Mansions and the "master Zhuangtsu",the author analyzes the "truth" of Baoyu and the "strangeness" of Baoyu, and compares the "truth" of Daiyu with the "falsity" of Baochai, and points out the pursuit and love of the value concept of "truth" in the Dream of Red Mansions. The third chapter analyzes the relationship between Jia Baoyu and the "twelve women of Jinling",such as Dai,Xiang,Chai,Tan,and so on.The natural and unrestrained demeanour of famous scholars in Wei and Jin dynasties, the deep psychological characteristic behind it,is the pursuit of truth and the pursuit of self. The fourth chapter is about the "Dream" in "Dream of the Red Chamber".Among them, the most important is the image of "Mirror",which is mentioned many times in Zhuangtsu, and Cao Xueqin also consciously described multiple mirrors in the novel, which are closely related to "shadow","dream" and "illusion",which is a very good starting point to analyze the philosophical connotation of "a dream of red mansions".This paper,as a study of the Dream of the Red Chamber under the direction of the department of traditional Chinese studies, tries to distinguish it from the study of pure literature, focusing on the study of the theory of the dream of the red chamber, and trying to explore the ideological value of the dream of the red chamber. From the perspective of "Great Literature" to study "A Dream of Red Mansions",we should be able to find more meaningful topics.
