A Study On The Process Of Zhong Yong’s Sanctification In Song Dynasty From The Perspective Of Media

As one of the four books of Confucianism,Zhong Yong has lain significant position in the history of Confucianism and even Chinese thoughts.From the perspective of mediology,this thesis starts with communication to explore Zhong Yong’s sanctification in the Song Dynasty.The author believes that the sanctification of Zhong Yong is essentially the medialization of Zhong Yong Therefore,this thesis first discusses the possibility of Zhong Yong and the two words“中庸”serving as a medium.Judging from the origins of the words“中”and“庸”,we find that the words“中庸”mean the process of one thing is open to others besides itself,and returns to itself through dialogues with others.So the words“中庸”themselves have the meaning of the medium.This kind of feature in medium makes Zhong Yong and its concepts can make different subjects interact with other subjects or with the environment in the process of communication and communication.After establishing the viewpoint of Zhong Yong as a medium,this thesis will bring Zhong Yong into a certain space-time environment to explore the process of Zhong Yong’s sanctification in the Song Dynasty.Through the investigation of the revival and upgrade of Zhong Yong,we believe that the stylistic forms of the ancient Chinese traditions of "Lun","Jie","Yi","Zhuan" and "Jing" are not only the division of stylistics,but also include thinkers’ own styles.Their interpretation of Zhong Yong is actually individualized reading experience.It exists in the mutual connection of strength,attachment,and media,which is an interaction field with many existence modes.These thinkers in the Northern Song Dynasty used the style of Zhong Yong to show their own styles,and directly contacted and realized their own modes by reading Zhong Yong.They used Zhong Yong as a medium to understand their ways of being.At the same time,this mode itself is the influence and effectiveness of media logic.Through the examination of engraving,we can find that the media revolution brought by block printing has actually changed these thinkers’ thinking modes in reading books and perceiving society.We believe that this transformation does not only exist in the field of thought.Through the investigation of "Wen Mu",we find that the new media logic brought by block printing also reshapes the way of communication between Shi in the Song Dynasty and enhances the birth of Neo-Confucianism group in the Song Danasty.
