| This essay mainly studies the "Yu Chu" anthology series in Qing Dynasties and early Republic of China. It consists of four parts:introduction, main content, additonal part and appendix.The introduction part has firstly combed the history of "Yu Chu" anthology series and defined the nature of selected articles in Qing Dynasties and early Republican China. Then, this part summarizes the current research condition about this subject and describes author’s study methods as well as the reasons of choosing this topic.In the first chapter, through combing a large number of documents, textual research from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the "Yu Chu" series anthology editors’ lives and anthology editing conditions are discussed, which is the basis of the whole study. The second chapter and the third chapter is a classified research towards the subjects and materials of "Yu Chu" anthology series in the Qing Dynasty and that in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, and then conclude the compiling concept of the editors. Qing Dynasty anthology include:the respect of the hermit, paladin and other Oddities, the worries behind fantastic arts and skills, the respect of women’s talents as well as moral recognition to women martyr and the traditional moral topics, such as the loyalty, filial piety, righteousness and so on. The condition in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China is viewed from four angles:following the theme of promoting traditional moral; penetration of new ideas in the anthology series; advocacy of chivalrousness for the revitalization of the nation; the individual consciousness bringing the exalting of the passionate and pure love. Chapter IV, V through explaining detailed text, from the narrative, characters creation, language arts three aspects respectively, make a comparative study of the artistic features of" Yu Chu" anthology series between the Qing Dynasty and the late Qing Dynastiy and ealy Republic of China, trying to find out the "Yu Chu, " anthology series development from the Qing Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China series, which show the characteristics of different periods of the anthology.The additional part discusses the end of "Yu Chu" anthology series separately from its own deficiencies and the abolition of classical Chinese after prosperity in a short period in the Late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. In Appendix, the changes on "Yu Chu Xin Zhi" from the original copy was classified and analyzed. |
