Passive safety has been one of the important features for Generation ? nuclear system.More attention had been paid on the integrity of containment of nuclear power plant especially after the occurrence of the severe accident of Fukushima nuclear power station.Therefore,two different passive containment cooling system schemes were proposed,which could probably be used to ensure the safety and security of concrete containment for nuclear power stations with pressurized water reactor.The performance of such two schemes was numerically simulated by using the self-developed house code.Furthermore,the optimization method and case study were conducted.The main work and the main results in this thesis were introduced as follows.1.The house code was developed by us on the basis of one-dimensional two phase homogeneous model.The code was successfully applied to analyze the behaviors and performance of the proposed open loop / close loop passive containment cooling systems.The numerical results agreed well with the experimental data for the open loop system.2.As for the open loop passive containment cooling system scheme,the natural circulation capacity and the heat removal capacity of the system were numerically studied under steady state conditions for both single phase and two phase scenarios.The factors,such as the temperature inside the water tank,the height of adiabatic riser,the diameters of connecting pipes and the coefficients of local resistance at either inlet or outlet of heat exchanger,were investigated.The mechanisms behind the phenomena were also analyzed in detail.3.Similar to the open loop passive containment cooling system scheme,the performance of the close loop passive containment cooling system was also investigated by using the house code.The same factors as that for the open loop system were studied.The way in which those factors would influence the performance of the passive containment cooling systems was compared between the open loop scheme and the close loop scheme.4.Through the detailed analysis on the features of the genetic algorithm,the particle swam optimization method and the complex algorithm,a new strategy of coupling among above-mentioned algorithms was designed and the GPCM method was developed.5.The non-dominated solution concept was introduced into the optimization of the design of the passive containment cooling system.A novel algorithm of GPCMS was designed and realized based on GPCM.The algorithm of GPCMS and corresponding code was successfully implemented into the multi-objective optimization of the passive containment cooling system.The case study on the close loop passive containment cooling system showed that the Pareto front would be beneficial to the decision-making for the system in a scientific manner.
