Abstract/Summary: | |
This research presents an exploratory method for solving multiobjective linear programs. The method is interactive, requires very little information from the decision maker and is conceptually very simple. The method is exploratory in the sense that it does not converge to a solution point. It rather explores efficient extreme points in different regions of the efficient surface in an interactive way and thus permits the decision maker to choose his/her satisfactory solution. The method has been programmed for the DEC-10 time sharing system.;The interactive method has been applied to an economic planning model of Bangladesh and has been evaluated by a group of decision makers. A likert index for the attitude of the group toward the method has been calculated. Initial reactions of the decision makers have been found to be favorable. |
