Abstract/Summary:
This research effort investigated the effects of several types of interfering signals on a direct sequence spread spectrum radio receiver. On a constant power basis it was found that some forms of interference have more effect than others on the bit error rate of a test radio. Quantitative results were obtained by computer modeling augmented by hardware experimentation. These results may be useful for avoiding common vulnerabilities when designing spread spectrum systems.
