Abstract/Summary:
Optical properties of luminescent centers in solids have been studied. The main emphasis of this work is paid to the energy transfer mechanisms from sensitizer to activator ions.;First, optical absorption, excitation, and emission spectra and luminescence decay curve measurements were performed on KC1:Ag;Next, optical properties of NaCl:Cu;Next, non-exponentialities of the decay curves of AC thin film electroluminescence devices were explained by applying Yokota-Tanimoto equatrion, in which the distributions of sensitizers and activators are assumed non-uniform.;Finally, the mechanism of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) with a peak at about 420 nm in X-ray-irradiated KCl:Eu...
