The project director seeks to aid the membership of Grace Baptist Church Elizabethton, Tennessee to reach their unchurched neighborhood in a two--mile radius. Chapter one will give the overview ministry context, project rationale, definition of terms, and limitations and delimitations.;Chapter one sets up the project describing the culture of the church (surrounding a two--mile radius population) the ministry context, and the path to forming a strategy. The chapter contains the goals, project objectives, research design, and tools to be used.;Chapter two provides the biblical and theological foundation for the project with passages from Matt. 28:18--20, Jn. 13:34, and Mk. 12:28--34. The three aspects of missional communities consist of missions, community, and worship. The Great Commission found in Matt. 28:18--20 supports the bless aspect; the new commandment from Jn. 13:34 supports the belong aspect; and the great commandments from Mk. 12:28--34 supports the believe aspect.;Chapter three provides a literary review of works related to church revitalization, studies on the unreached in North America, and missional models. Chapter three aided in shaping the project strategy. The literary review also contains insights about implementation of the strategy into the life of Grace Baptist Church, further explored in chapter five.;Chapter Four contains the project description in narrative form. The chapter includes four parts: Research, Shaping the Strategy, Developing the Strategy, and Final Approval. The chapter also contains reference to the appendixes, which contains the level of consensus form used in the project, the presentation to a select group of leaders, and the response from the deacon body.;Chapter five reflects the project director's final analysis of both ministry and personal project objectives, evaluation of the project process, suggestions for further implementation of the project, and a final reflection. The chapter also includes tools produced for further implementation.
