Abstract/Summary: | |
The effects of project management on students' perceptions appear to have been studied modestly and to have received little attention in the scholarly literature despite the desire of government officials, educators, and researchers to improve public education by adapting business practices. This quantitative survey study explored this relationship at a middle school in Florida. Correlation analyses indicated a strong and direct relationship between teachers' use of classroom project management techniques and students' mental constructions of caring teachers. The research suggested that a new paradigm for classroom management based on business project management techniques should be used to lead students in constructing high-performing classrooms and those interested in education system improvement should continue the development of Classroom Project Management Theory. |
