Abstract/Summary:
Corporate Social Responsibility represents an important strategy for many companies. It is the vision of the company relative to its philosophy, goals and policies within the framework of society. This substantially involved in society, a concept which provides for not only serving the needs of a product or service with more ethical, but the level of commitment by the society.;This research interprets the close relationship between the success of their businesses with customer perception as social engagement or involvement.;This commitment to the community refers to the various actions taken by the company to maximize the impact of their contributions in money, time, products, services, influence, knowledge management and other resources that goes to the communities in which it operates. When these initiatives are designed and implemented on a scheduled basis and strategically, not only delivers value to customers, but also these initiatives reinforce the reputation of the companies, their brands and products in local communities where they have business interests, and in the rest of the world.;The efforts of companies are being driven by the economic benefits that entail greater involvement with society. This includes increasing sales, improved employee morale and be a "neighbor of choice" for the community. Many companies also recognize the opportunity and need to allocate private resources to particular social problems, filling the role of government in different areas. One company considered socially responsible can benefit from its reputation among customers and its reputation among the business community, thereby increasing the company's ability to attract capital and employees. Active participation in community activities creates a positive reputation with employees within the company. Leading companies are often cited in the media and are recommended for investors looking for socially responsible companies.
