Abstract/Summary:
This research aimed at constructing a model for international success in soccer. My sample of experts was drawn from the worldwide population of coaches, players, and managers in the field of soccer. My questionnaire targeted the majority of coaches who led their national teams in the last two world-cup events, and it was backed up by interviewing a few of them. My hypotheses tried to relate success in international events with the quality of training, management of the field, and the socio-economic determinants, and to explore the most appropriate soccer theory and obviously looked for ways to practice this ideal model.;After treating my data, I ended up with some constructive definitions. I realized that a successful model of international soccer is the one that has the National teams constantly reach at least the semifinal in the World Cup, in the Olympics, and in the World Youth Championship. However, that could only be achieved through competent professional players, through providing fields for the youth, and through scientific training programs; and by applying this cultural sporting structure starting from the scholar system to the elite players, and that is how a successful soccer model improves national teams in decay.
