Abstract/Summary:
The Asian American Ecumenical Church in its early stage of development aims to develop and implement spiritual formation process that will guide and direct their mission and ministry. The process that we have gone through this project, allow the congregation an opportunity to experience how church should conduct its life and ministry. Three major aspect of church life we looked into are, the Christian education and nurture, Christian witness and service, and Church stewardship and resource development.;Christian education and nurture focus primarily on their spiritual experience and encounter with God. The Christian witness and service reflect the expression of that experience and encounter. We have identified numerous expression of our faith but for the purpose of this project we have focused on environmental issues that greatly affect our human lives. It is very evident in this process that good stewardship and development of God's resources is very crucial is doing church programs and ministries.;The project focuses in educating the church on environmental issues. We expect that this project will become pathway to making church members aware and consciously act in giving utmost care to our environment. Our human existence is not detached from the entire created world. It is necessary that every human being must live and put great contemplation on our relationship with other creation.;We want that churches and congregations must seriously include in their ministry the issues pertaining to the environmental care and protection. The urgency of the issue must not be put aside or else our Mother Earth will gravely suffer and human lives will greatly experience catastrophic position.;Environmental care and protection deserves our utmost concern just as our spiritual and social life. Environmental care is one of our spiritual calls. It cannot be isolated from our daily life. It is a must for every congregation that environmental stewardship will always be part of their engagement in church life and ministries.
