The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to examine relationships between physician attributes cited as barriers to information sharing and the criterion variable information silos. Predictor variables included trust, autonomy, and collaboration. Regression analysis was performed. Findings of the study indicated trust as a moderate predictor of the criterion variable information silos. Collaboration presented a weak positive relationship with information silos and autonomy a weak negative relationship. Study findings supported the need for a system's approach to information sharing at the transdisciplinary level of health care. |
