| A correlational study was conducted to determine the relationship between airline pilots'' communication skills and leadership attributes. Survey one examined leadership practices in aviation as they relate to maintaining a professional environment and its relationship to a successful, safe operation. Survey two was the measurement of communication competency in the socio-technical environment of the air traffic system. Findings from the study confirmed a relationship between leadership and communication in a test population of 216 commercial airline pilots. |
