Perspectives on the Challenges GED Students Face to Attain Proficiency Trident University International [2017] This three-article dissertation focuses on the challenges students in GED programs encounter that prevent them from attaining proficiency. Article 1 consists of a literature review that includes an overview of the GED, Common Core GED Test, roadblocks that occur in the GED programs, and other factors that impact student success. Article 2 describes a qualitative study focused on the perspectives of GED teachers describing the challenges their students face to attain proficiency. Article 3 discusses a training protocol for GED teachers to prepare them to guide their students to success. |
