This dissertation contains three essays on applied econometrics. The first essay is a quantitative analysis of various test statistics of structural parameters in the linear instrumental variables model. The second essay develops a method of dealing with a time-invariant regressor in nonlinear panel models with fixed effects. The last essay develops, estimates, and simulates a dynamic occupational choice model in which people are uncertain about their occupation--specific abilities. |
