| Political disharmony, that is partisan ideology resulting in overt hostile behavior in both real and virtual interactions within the public sphere, has risen in recent decades particularly with the advent of 24-hour news networks and the rise of the internet as a primary source of political information sourcing. As hostility continues to increase in real time, recent literature demonstrates the importance of analyzing these newer forms of media, both professional and social, to ascertain causation and discover methodologies for reduction. The current research proposed analysis of politically disharmonious circumstances experienced by the earliest generation of the American republic in an effort to uncover perspectives and perceived solutions for the reduction of such political disharmony during trying political times. |
