Research On The Influencing Factors Of China’s Enhancing The Discourse Power In Global Trade Governance

At present,the world economic system is undergoing tremendous changes.Emerging economies and developing countries are playing an increasingly important role in the world economy,and they hope to win an institutional voice matching their economic strength and form a more balanced global governance pattern.The dominant position of western developed countries in the international economic and trade rules is facing severe challenges.These developed countries are eager to remodel the economic and trade order,regain the previous dominant power,fundamentally suppress the current emerging economies and developing countries,and the global trade governance mechanism enters a period of reform.To make positive response to the emerging new trade rules,China needs to lead the formulation of new trade rules on the basis of participating in global trade governance,so as to realize the discourse power in the new international economic and trade rules.In the international community where various kinds of discourses are advocated,how a country’s international discourse can rise to the common consensus of the international community is not only related to the national interests of the country concerned,but also has a profound strategic impact on the stability and transformation of international politics,especially the international pattern.The influence of international discourse power on the status of a country in the global economy is very important.With the development of economic globalization,international discourse power has become a hot issue discussed by governments and academic circles of various countries.The struggle for global discourse power has become the decisive factor of national survival and development.However,its connotation,influencing factors and quantitative evaluation indicators were not analyzed in depth.In order to truly enhance the power of international discourse,China must make in-depth analysis of the factors affecting its power of discourse,try to build an index system of international discourse power,and scientifically evaluate the new problems and challenges that the world is facing in the competition for the power of discourse,so as to have a definite aim and then formulate effective strategic countermeasures.The paper consists of seven parts.The first chapter is an introduction,which mainly covers the background and significance of the research,related research reviews at home and abroad,research content and framework,research methods,main contents,innovations and deficiencies.Chapter 2 is the theoretical basis for enhancing the discourse power of trade governance.It mainly introduces the national interest theory,national competitive advantage theory,discourse power theory,institutional innovation theory and soft power theory.The third chapter introduces the factors influencing the discourse power of global trade governance from two aspects of hard power and soft power.Chapter four analyzes the status quo and existing problems of China’s discourse power in global trade governance.The fifth chapter firstly constructs the index system of international discourse power,and then USES the principal component analysis to measure the discourse power of OECD and G20 countries in international trade governance.The sixth chapter analyzes the empirical research on developed countries’ enhancing the right to speak of global trade governance.The last chapter is the conclusion and inspiration.
